4.1 stars...Consistent "Greek diner". Nice and friendly servers. 20% tip included on groups of 8 or more... :::Update:::We had a larger group than we had planned for a group safety meeting. Our Server, busser and management handled it. They got a round of applause from us! Always good soup and salads. Attentive service and management. Entree portion size is generous. Warm bread and plenty of butter on table was a pleasant surprise. Lunch and dinner specials are on a separate menu. Sometimes there is a second meal(sort of a prix fixe) menu of the day. Look for breakfast specials on the main menu... Desserts look good but are mainly just sweet. All salads are generously portioned and the homemade creamy garlic dressing was yummy. Many breakfast choices and entrées to choose from. Pepper beef, Sea Bass, Cod, chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (lunch serving was huge) the chopped steak juicy and all breakfasts were good so far. Julienne salad is huge and tasty as well! Apple Pancacake is a monster sized dessert, but needs more apple and compote. Papa Nickolas Coffee offered is really good. Bathrooms were okay and clean but wheelchair entry barely possible without some door help. Accessible main entry Door is available for those in need. Two dinner specials with beverages were $38+ cash tip...

This was my first time ever dining here. I was in the area to pick up an order from GameStop. As I was walking and looking around I stumbled into this gem of a place. The hostess, Linda, was very sweet and kind. She also waited for me to finish my appetizer before bringing out my entree. Which gave me time to enjoy what I was getting. Unlimited refills of coffee and water as well. I had the navy bean soup, which Linda recommend, and a Cajun burger with a side salad. Please visit this cozy and homely place when you get a chance. Nice place to dine solo or with family. Very nice staff and food was delicious. Nice portions too.

Time and time again, I drove by Dapper's East Restaurant, but this time I finally stopped in for breakfast. Walking in, you immediately get that classic, family-owned breakfast diner vibe. My partner and I ordered the Egg Burrito and the Greek Skillet. The Egg Burrito, basically a chorizo breakfast burrito, was super flavorful. It was on the greasier side, but still delicious. The Greek Skillet was also solid. Service was quick, and we were out of there feeling equally satisfied. Will definitely be back.

BEWARE: So let start off by saying, I've been going to Dappers East since I was a child, went there every Sunday for years. As the years went by service diminished, a few years ago I went, and it was empty. Food was so so, stopped going. As so many breakfast places have closed I chose to revisit Dappers last week. On Saturday food was good, but had to wait 20 minutes for my bill, I let it go as the waitress seemed busy. My husband chose the following day to go back, we were seated, and 20 minutes later after I complained to the person whom brought us waterthe waitress finally came to the table, took our order, and walked away. No apology or anything, once again poor service, still tipped well. Smaller portions of food than the day prior. Ordered the same thing. Now we went back today, thinking it would be different. It was the absolute last time I will ever step foot in this place again. I ordered skirt steak and eggs. Steak well done, scrambled eggs. A cup of coffee, and a glass.of Oj. Our food arrives and to my surprise a hair in the eggs. I let the manager know, he Apologized, at that point I had drank my coffee, waitress asked if I wanted another, I said yes. I get my food again, hashbrowns we're still raw, steak was bloody, and eggs also still raw in the middle. Still no second cup of coffee, asked my waitress 3 times for my orange juice, she keep forgetting. I couldn't eat my food, at this point I felt it was purposely for complaining. The waitress is avoiding me at this point, waited 15 minutes for my bill, she finally brings the bill, realized my food was still there. She asked why. I let her know, she agreed she would be upset, and brought to the managers attention. I was given an $8.50 discount, still a $60 bill. I will never go back, over 30 years of great family memories, to be treated like garbage. NEVER GOING...

Attended a College of Complexes meeting..Great info, very knowledgeable folks. Fun..Tons if Food..for Thought. IF ya wanna learn..

.But..dealio is Gotta! buy dinner. Hmmm. So...

Ordered 'chop steak' dinner. Feh. 'steak' was a large chunk of ground beef? no distinct flavor...I remember REAL chopped steak and this ain't it.

Veggies..cut carrots, some kinda squash?, green beans... Undercooked and tough.

Mashed potatoes?...Idahoes. Wrong. Russets are usual, Idahoes are darker and UN-appetizing. Gravy..ehh.

Slab of bread / long roll..No Butter! Had to ask.

Coke no ice. Fair.

All THIS for uhh $26-ish. I paid for it..I ate it...

Net: Overpriced. Entire menu same. Next time I order a Kid's meal...or something...(mumble)...

Not Recommended unless, or, No, EVEN if it's the only thing open, in which case I'd hit the 24-hour Jewel at Kedzie & Howard / Evanston border where they carry Stouffer's and Boston Market entrees, a better deal. like KRAFT DeLUXE Mac & Cheese..easy-peasy.

Better variety, Lower prices

Then there's the White Castle on Addison & Kedzie.

So.. You Do have choices...

And there's DENNY'S 😛 .....

There ya go....
