Edit 11.12.23 Dropped off some things at my unit just before close and there was someone sleeping/snoring inside an adjacent unit. This wasn’t the first time. This person has been semi-living in the unit for at least a year. As sad as that is, it shows a total lack of security.

Also, I emailed and called Cubesmart after their response below and never heard back from them. Total lip service. I’d move to another storage facility but am kind of stuck with this one.

9.15.23: 3 to 2 stars. Rate increased again from $120 to $145 for the same unit. No other changes. Temperatures were in the high 80s inside during the July heat spell. Claiming this is climate controlled is now borderline fraud.

Edit 5.12.23: from 4 stars to 3. While still clean, over the past three years they have nearly DOUBLED their rate while lowering the product/service level. I used to pay $69 for my 5x15 unit. Now I pay $120. This is supposed to be a climate controlled complex. I keep a temp and humidity device in my unit. They have slowly lowered the lowest temp (to 49 degrees) and raised the highest temp (82 degrees) allowed. Worse off, humidity is now a problem and some stored items have begun to suffer moisture damage and warp from humidity problems (maxed at 73% humidity!). I suspect this is all to cut costs and milk money from their customers. It's now sub standard.

Original: It's very clean and well secured. That peace of mind is really what's important. The staff is very friendly and accommodating here too. Some little things do take a star off though. For example, they WILL NOT prorate your payment if you upgrade or downsize your unit which is nonsense. So, try to time your switch for when your current month is up or you'll be paying for two units. This particular location has a problem with people putting carts in their lockers. So at times there are very few carts to use for everyone else. I've mentioned this to them for years and nothing has changed. So bring your own dolly if you have heavy and/or many things to move around. Also, if you have homeowners insurance you don't need their insurance. Most homeowners insurance policies cover your belongings no matter where they are. So save some money and bring a print-out copy of your policy for them to keep in...

The office attended. Iris was really great. She helped me out with everything I needed took me for a walk-through of the facility to show me where my Storage shed was she also keeps a very clean facility very good looking. I will choose to use this service again and again and again every single time that I need a storage unit, I’ve been to storage units and locations and they’ve been nowhere as clean and none of them have had the great hospitality that Iris has. She’s a great person and thank you guys for having her on your staff. She is such an attentive person and a great representative of your company that when we were walking through to the shed, she noticed one shed Locked properly by customer, she stopped. She took the time to call the customer and let the customer know they had left the facility and their shed is open also to inform them that the customer left the shed open. The storage company is not liable for anything in the shed. but the customer told her it’s OK I’m not really worried about it so obviously Iris cares more about people stuff than they do and she’s a great employee it was a pleasure meeting her and having her help me through this aggravating and stressful...

Hi, My experience with CubeSmart Self Storage was very pleasant. I met with Miss. Iris who showed me how to have access to the building, where to park, and and enter to my storage unit. It's is safe and easy access. Miss. Iris was professional and answered all my questions and resolved any concerns. I am a stroke patient with limited endurance in my energy, and needed a storage unit for short term during my transfer from my current apartment to a new apartment, renting a storage unit to place my belongings slowly until I move to my new apartment it is cost effective and affordable. As I have limited budget, I can't afford to hire movers and a truck that I can't afford. Renting a storage unit is more affordable. Miss. Iris was kind, honest, professional, and gracious to me.
