To sum up my review of Revolution Brewing in one word: WOW. This brewery was on my bucket list - after watching Drinking Buddies only 1.5 billion times. So, my partner and I planned a trip to Chicago and I grabbed tour tickets for Saturday. Upon on arrival, you enter through a side door from the street through a little hallway and then BOOM! -beautiful, cavernous taproom teeming with happy people and friendly staff. We grabbed a couple of tasters before our tour, Freedom Lemonade and Eugene Porter - both delicious and traditional to their styles. Our tour guide was Adam, who is, seriously, the raddest dude on the face of this planet. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed his charismatic energy and passionate knowledge of beer, brewing, and everything in between. It was the best brewery tour I've ever been on. I was excited to see the behind the scenes of the movie and loved to see how Revolution has grown. The brewery, beer, and the tour are enough to go back, but Adam pushed it over the edge that much more. I'm super glad to have lucked out with having Adam as a tour guide and cannot wait to go back to visit the brewery in all its glory. Keep up the awesome job, Revolution. And never let...

Brew: Where to start? In case I miss anything I just recommend checking this place out for your self and have fun. On to the beer...they really take pride in brewing delicious crafted beer and preserving it in their creative cans to keep its beers integrity making sure no light will disrupt it's balance. Love that! I learned about this on their free tour, which I highly recommend. It last about 40 minutes and it starts with a complimentary pint. check their website for days and times for the tour and arrive early to secure a spot on the tour. It works on a first come basis. In their bar I loved their signature IPA beer, Anti-Hero. One of your perfect American IPAs. I also had their newly introduced beer, Mosaic Hero named after using mosaic hops. It created a tropical fruit aroma on the nose which also carries over to the taste on your palate. It's beautifully balanced, bringing a punch of hoppiness with malt sweetness...
Read moreRevolution brewery makes A LOT of beer. On my favorite beers of all time list, Revolution takes the cake. Rise, A Little Crazy, and VSOD are some of my favorites.
The brewery tour is free and you get one free can of beer. Luckily for us, A little crazy was in season and that's what we got! Arrive early to make sure you get in. We had a large crowd with us. The tour itself was short ~30 minutes and it was more of a sales pitch than it was a tour of the process of making beer. The guide just kept repeating prices for their beers and it being a pretty good deal. I've been to about six brewery tours and that tour ranked last. If I didn't already know that I loved Revolution's beer, I probably would have a poor view of them based on the tour.
If you're a stout lover, they have an amazing selection of stouts. Most of their beers have a high ABV.
Great lounge area with plenty of seating, free popcorn, and games like cornhole and shuffleboard. Their merchandise on site was really cool, but it's on the pricey side.
I recommend going to their other location on Milwaukee...
