I stumbled into Khepri during the dark days of the pandemic, just after this country decided that (mostly) mothers should/could/would simultaneously do their paying jobs (remotely) and home-school their children. It has been a place of refuge for me ever since.

When I feel down about the climate, the country, CPS, I come here and let the good vibes soak into my blood stream. When the preteen energy in my house is too much, I step out to "pick something up from the office"....and come here, where I can read the news (today's!) and drink something (still hot!) without interruption. When going in to the office would feel like reporting to prison, I come here instead, slap down my laptop, and take sanctuary in the friendly faces, delicious and healthy food, and soul-warming hot drinks.

Khepri is also my go-to when I want to meet a friend for coffee, dare to take my children to brunch, or need a last-minute gift for a neighbor/teacher/friend/kid's friend.

Do yourself a favor and add Khepri to your self-care routine....

I came on a beautiful Saturday morning with a friend a few weeks ago. Everything sounded so good, but we decided to split 2 breakfast sandwiches- the chicken and avocado and apple and walnut. They were both amazing- fresh ingredients, huge servings and flavor bursting with each bite. Really interesting mix of healthy foods that complemented each other. The coffee is amazing and you can buy some to to brew at home. Just for fun, we had a vegan ice cream sandwich that was to die for! I never would have thought there was even such a thing- it was delicious. The menu is so interesting and healthy. The restaurant is bright, cheery, roomy and super clean. There’s ample, cute and comfortable outside dining. The owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the CBD products they also carry. It’s location right near the el is so convenient, as is the street parking. I will definitely be returning on a...

LOVE this place! It's hidden on Kedzie, west of where the brown line crosses the street. I'm always looking for new places to work remotely and this has quickly become my favorite spot. The staff are super cool, friendly, and helpful.

I ordered "The AOC" just to be silly, TBH, and it was one of the best handcrafted drinks I've ever had in my life. I've not tried any other drink yet, because all I can think about is that drink when I'm on the way there. I love that they serve all their drinks is actual mugs (even for 16oz drinks), not throw away paper cups.

I've also had the breakfast sandwich and my wife the blueberry whipped feta toast, which she loved.

The wifi is strong and the atmosphere is great.

Pro Tip: Parking is free and non-permitted a block...

Amazing coffee place near kimball brown line station. Have gone here two times already and it’s the kind of place where your mind starts flowing with ideas. The sound of the nearby train has a certain charm to it, and the natural light from the windows fill the room with color. The maple brown sugar latte and the cold brew were amazing. And the staff was very kind and accommodating. I got the AOC Latte without seeing that it had cayenne(totally my fault!) and went to buy a new drink but they were really nice in giving me an exchange even without me asking for it. Recently they’ve added their seasonal L train themed drinks and I got their Green line drink with Matcha and it was amazing! If you’re in the area, please go ahead and tryout it out!

I visited Khepri Cafe twice over MLK weekend during my first visit to Chicago. I wish I had a cafe like this in Seattle! The food is so flavorful yet nourishing (you just feel good after you eat it!!). The smashed chickpea sandwich and shakshuka toast (pictured) were so yummy. Very flavorful…party in your mouth feeling. I also tried the Goddess of Good Health smoothie and died over the flavor…who knew mint in a smoothie is the most delicious secret ingredient?! My Americano was also perfect. The service was top notch—the Khepri staff cares about their customers and they are proud of the product they deliver. Five stars+ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Khepri Cafe is a beautiful and inviting café with indoor and outdoor seating, healthy dine in and take out options like salads and sandwiches. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches. The coffee and drinks are so good and some have option of CBD. The people who work here are friendly and personable. Oh and the MERCH is amazing and unique - lots of cute stuff like unique mugs, stickers, books, beauty products, things for kids too. It’s right off the Kedzie brown line, so super easy and convenient to get to. I’m here twice a week, it’s my favorite café in Chicago!!
