Normally I order from here on uber eats and it's fine hence the 3 stars. But I ordered two mcdoubles on uber eats. The driver dropped off my order and the first thing I noticed was how heavy it was for two burgers. Opened it and it was two iced coffees and one hot coffee. Two of them were spilled. No big deal, I called the restaurant to see if I could get my order. Idk why but the second person I talked to was not understanding what I was saying at all. I'm sitting here 5 minutes later thinking that we came to this solution: that I go to the place, pick up my food, and I drop off the coffees because ik someone's gonna call about not getting their drink order. But then whoever I was speaking to suggested a refund, and I was like that'd be nice, but I just want some food so I'll go out at 10 pm to get it, no need to refund then reorder it. When I asked her if she wanted me to bring the drinks, she just kept going "I know, but" and the phone audio wasn't good so I couldn't understand what she was saying very well, so I just kept telling her "it's fine, I'll go pick it up, but do you want these drinks back?" After going in circles numerous times, she goes silent for a bit then hangs up. By that time I wasn't even sure if she was even offering a refund, I wasn't yelling, I had a solution I was fine with but she kept offering new ones and bouncing from "we can't help you" to "maybe you can do this" to "maybe you did this" as if I had to provide the solution or I messed up the order when they straight up told me my burgers were at the restaurant ready to be picked up. I'm not too pressed about it too much because I've messed up orders before and handled it worse, plus I don't know if she understood what I was saying that well either. But I'm more just putting this because the problem solving of the employees was super unclear and the lady I talked to was clearly getting annoyed. Read moreI placed an order on the mobile app. I ordered 2 coffees and when I checked the receipt I was charged for 4 coffees. When I told the cashier what happened, she referred me to the manager. The manager who was working at the 4546 N. Kedzie Ave Chicago, IL 60625 location, told me to wait that she would be right with me. I waited. This incident was reported at 8:29am to the manager. At 9am, still no answer from the manager. I saw that the manager kept attending to people that had come in after me. At 9am, I went to the cashier and told them I had to go that I needed to get my problem addressed. The manager told the cashier to handle it, and said that what had happened was not her fault. I got my money back, but this was very poor customer service on the managers part. I never blamed anyone, I was respectful at all times. I just stated what the problem was and I was treated like I was the problem. I never ordered the 4 coffees, in the first place. This manager should have understood that sometimes there are glitches with the application and stuff like this can happen and it is no one’s fault, but she made me feel like I was being problematic for asking for help for a problem that was not my fault either. I hope this gets addressed with the higher ups and that this person in charge gets proper training on how to provide standard customer service. The manager in the purple shirt and skimpy ponytail really thought she had time today to play with me After the register was malfunctioning and wouldn’t work she proceeded to tell me she had no solution for me and I would have to pay full price for my food after I requested to speak to her. I showed her proof of my coupon and my McDonald’s app. She then proceeded to yell at me and say bye and there is nothing she can do and slammed the drive-through window in my face after I asked her to clarify in a rude way why wouldn’t accommodate me . So I parked and walked in and asked two other employees who owned the establishment and they failed to give me the full info and contact info that I requested. It was not listed in the restaurant She then told her employees in Spanish to not service me or give me any information or to talk to me and waved her hand and told me to move out the way as if she was totally in the right! Super combative, super disrespectful and super unprofessional on every level.
