My family are regular customers at the Park Ridge Moretti's where we have previously enjoyed good food and very friendly, professional service. Unfortunately our experience this evening was not only unprofessional but also very embarrassing for our family. Several weeks ago I brought my daughter to the free bingo night at Moretti's. She rarely wins things, so she was extremely excited to actually win several Moretti's food vouchers. Understandably there are rules involved in using these vouchers; namely they need to be used within a month of winning them, they can only be used at the Moretti's at which the vouchers are won and there needs to be an additional purchase (ie.drink or other food item) to redeem the voucher. Since we live approximately 30 minutes away from this location, we actually were not able to use 2 of the 4 vouchers we won within the month period, and so we were not able to redeem those. Our remaining 2 vouchers would expire after today, so we planned to visit this evening for dinner. Knowing that the coupon said 1 voucher per party, my daughter and I at first were planning to sit and eat separately, each with our own tables, bills and separate orders (we really only wanted a quick meal and to use our vouchers before they expired, so had no problem doing this to satisfy the terms of the coupons). As it was busy, we decided to just tell the front desk outright before we were seated that we had the 2 vouchers, and that we were going to be seated, order and eat separately unless they are ok with us sitting at the same table, while still ordering and paying separately. The first person went to check to see if this would be ok; then a 2nd person came and agreed that this would be fine. Both my daughter and I ordered separately. She ordered a drink to satisfy the terms of her voucher, and I ordered an additional appetizer to satisfy the terms of the 2nd voucher (I could have ordered a $3.50 tea, but I even purposely ordered an additional $14 appetizer, as I was very thankful for the restaurant's consideration). As we were finishing our meal, we were approached by a very rude manager named "Jeff" who told us that they would now only honor 1 of our vouchers. We patiently explained the full situation to him, explaining that we had fully disclosed everything to the front staff AND received their approval BEFORE sitting down. Jeff's response is that we didn't talk to the manager "him". We had no idea that we hadn't talked to a manager as it was the 2nd staff that agreed to our request. Jeff continued to very loudly argue for a lengthy period of time that he would only allow 1 voucher to be used. What ensued was a very uncomfortable back and forth with him as I tried to explain that we would have sat differently AND ordered differently (ie I also wld have only ordered a drink) if we knew at the onset that only 1 of our vouchers wld be able to be redeemed. It took a considerable amount of time and heated discourse before Jeff reluctantly agreed to honor the original agreement from his front staff after asking for his name, saying we would write a review on this behavior, and explaining how unprofessional his tone was. My daughter and I are extremely upset by how badly we were treated. All of the staff, except Jeff, sympathize with us and offered their apologies, for which we were very thankful. I wrote this review so that hopefully others will not be treated in such a rude and...

My husband placed an order for a pizza that was supposed to be half cheese and half stuffed jalapeño. We specified online that we did not want tomatoes, bacon, and sausage. We also notated that we did not want our pizza cut due to dietary restrictions as we do not consume any pork products.
My husband brings the pizza home and when we open up the box, sure enough the pizza is cut and there are large chunks of sausage all over. We immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who expressed absolutely no concern for the matter. Didn’t apologize ONCE. He asks me which option I want and that is either to deliver another pizza or get a refund. We opted for the first option granted our experience was terrible but our kids were hungry so we just went with it. He claimed that all his drivers were available and that he was going to have a pizza sent out in “20-25” minutes. My call log states that the call was made at 8:29 PM and the pizza was delivered at 9:14!
But wait, our disgusting experience doesn’t end there. we cut into the pizza and guess what there is? CHUNKS OF SAUSAGE. let me add that when I spoke to this sad excuse of a manager, I had to repeat my order twice to him so he can “make sure he gets it right.” Absolutely disgusting. Will never return to this horrible restaurant.
We called Morettis 6 times because their hours stated that they were open until 10 PM. My husband decides to drive over with tbr pizzas and when we get to the restaurant, it was closed. After knocking on the door; a woman (had nothing to do it but she apologized) opens the doorand tells him that the restaurant is closed but my husband insisted he speak to the same manager mentioned above. Manager comes out and said that he specifically told the kitchen the order and that he’s going “to chew them out.” He insincerely apologized and literally did not care. He stated “I will reimburse you but can’t do anything else because my kitchen is closed.” Husband mentioned that it had been a 3 hour ordeal and that two young kids have also been waiting as patiently as they could for the pizza and the end result was disgusting customer service and 2 wrong pizzas. He clearly wanted to just go home and tried to please my husband by saying the next meal was on the house. Yeah, thanks but no thanks. We will not...
Read moreFood = 10+ Service = 5 Experience = 1. We went there and like most visits the food was delicious! Service is always hit or miss, this day it was not a hit but it wasn’t a total miss, I guess. We’ve been in the restaurant business and generally can tell when somebody wants to be working and wants to do their job, and when they really don’t care. This experience leaned more towards the latter.
BIG ISSUE - The manager told us that our wine club membership had expired last year because the credit card has expired. Mind you nobody has ever told us this, nor did we receive any type of email or alert regarding this. But we were very very thankful that she brought it to our attention for sure! Doesn’t really matter whose fault it is at this point, we didn’t wanna get away with anything and we were very glad she informed us. She went on to tell us that we had six bottles we could pick up that night. She said you can take six bottles tonight with you and that will be the end of your membership. You don’t have any tastings left, etc. She then asked if we preferred red wine or white wine and the response was both. So she brought us over the wine menu for the wine club, and told us to let the waitress know what six bottles we wanted and she would get them for us before we left.
At the end of our meal, we advised of the six bottles of wine. The waitress left then came back and said the manager said there was a misunderstanding we don’t get six bottles of wine. At this point we just chose to drop it.
But let me leave you with this: where was the misunderstanding? The inference was the misunderstanding was on our part. We are very confused still about that and this is why: why did you ask us if we wanted red or white? Why did you bring us the wine club menu and told us to pick what six bottles we wanted and that the waitress would get them for us before we left. How did we misunderstand that?
Just a crazy experienced almost like the twilight zone! LOL. Thought maybe we were being punked!
But nope - Real experience. And truthfully not that unusual to have bizarre experiences at a morettis. Most likely we will still go for the food and just prepare for the unexpected and inconsistent service we will have on any...
