My recent trip through O'Hare International Airport led me to grab a quick bite at Reggio's Pizza, a spot that promises a taste of Chicago for those on the go. Given the hustle and bustle of airport dynamics, Reggio's offers travelers a convenient solution to hunger pangs right before a flight or during layovers.
When it comes to the pizza itself, "okay" sums up the experience. It's exactly what one might expect from an airport quick-serve restaurant - nothing extraordinary but palatable enough to satisfy immediate hunger. The crust was fairly decent, holding up a balance between crispy and chewy, while the cheese and toppings lacked a bit of freshness, perhaps a concession to the restaurant's high-traffic location.
One thing Reggio's has going for it is its service, streamlined for efficiency. The staff seems well-equipped to handle the waves of travelers, minimizing the wait time that can be crucial for passengers on a tight schedule. The convenience of its location within the airport is also unbeatable, providing easy access for those who need to catch their flights posthaste.
Price-wise, it's what you'd expect within an airport context. A little on the higher side when compared to downtown prices, but not exorbitantly so, considering the captive audience and overhead costs of operating at an international airport.
In summary, Reggio's Pizza at O'Hare International Airport is the go-to spot for those in need of a meal in a hurry. While the pizza won't blow culinary minds, its convenience and reasonable taste make up for what it lacks in gourmet appeal. Perfect for travelers who are short on time, but perhaps not for pizza connoisseurs looking for a...

There was no structured approach to ordering, payments, or pick up. Orders were getting mixed up, customers were getting their pizzas out of turn, yet the staff was blaming their patrons for this, saying they gave their order to the wrong person. Well, we gave our order to the correct person and waited longer than anyone.
The staff was moving slowly, belittling customers, and bickering amongst themselves the whole time we waited. And we waited a while, (for 2 personal cheese pizzas) because the person who took our order forgot to make it. He was too busy arguing with the guy behind the register.
The funniest part was when an employee yelled across the floor at a customer who had just walked in. “We’re closed!”, he yelled, even though it was only 3pm and they were supposed to be open until 6. The customer was a little shocked and hurried out. They hadn’t run out of food, it just seemed like they were disinterested in continuing to work that day.
Having been in the food industry myself, and knowing what it’s like working with the public, I can understand how an employee can get flustered, but this staff wasn’t flustered at all. They had no sense of urgency, or desire to do their jobs. The customers were surprisingly nice and patient with them too, they just weren’t interested in giving...
Read moreReggio's at Chicago O'Hare Airport has been a savory stopover for me over the past several years, and each visit is a testament to their consistently exceptional Italian beef sandwiches. 😍😍🥰
Having savored more than a hundred of their Italian Beefs, I can confidently confirm that Reggio's Italian beefs are unrivaled.
In fact, in my humble opinion, Reggio's Italian beef surpasses the offerings of well-known chains like Portillo's and others in Chicago.
What sets Reggio's apart is their commitment to generously loading up the beef with peppers, just as it should be done. The result is an explosion of flavors that tantalizes the taste buds with every bite.
Reggio's Italian beef has earned a special place in my heart, and has become the icon and memory of all my trips to O'Hare.
It has become my mother's favorite sandwich as well. So much so, that she insists I bring one on the plane with me every time I depart O'Hare.
If you're passing through Chicago O'Hare and seeking to eat something delicious, I wholeheartedly recommend Reggio's!!!
Please don't order the pizza, try their Italian Beef and prepare to eat a delicious, flavorful sandwich that's...
