Went to eat with my co worker today and it was great. I went because of an insta story about heart shaped tortas 🤤. Older building on the outside but super clean on the inside and you can tell they clean because you can smell the Clorox or whatever brand they use (trust me it’s important to know that they do clean their area properly). Parking in back. Food was pretty damn good and we had a very patient waitress attend to us. Waitress had a heart warming smile when I asked about the heart shaped torta ❤️ almost as if she was excited we ordered it and I was all for it. My thing is tortas, I eat them about 3 to 4 times a week 😅 Though I am a Texan and love my Tex Mex Tortas (made with grilled slices of ham and American cheese along with the choice of meat) this one hit the spot. The bread was soft and slightly toasted. The chips and salsa was amazing, I believe it was Guacachile. I do personally prefer heavier spice in my salsa but this was great as is. Fresh fries were also great, next time will try the agua frescas because the reviews on make...
Read moreWe ordered through uber eats. I was kind of impressed to see a “Hot Cheeto Burrito” on their menu so I gave in and ordered. I also got steak nachos. I like to say i’m super unsatisfied by the way the burrito tasted. The cheetos they used were very stale. (I live 3 minutes away from this location) There was no reason for cheetos to be this stale in that short period of time. Ive ordered the same kind of burrito before from a trial kitchen thats 20minutes away and that wasn’t even stale. Steak nachos, was probably the only thing i can stomach down. Although they aren’t the best , I would have loved to get more of the nacho out of the nachos. What I mean by that , these were very very SIMPLE. quesadilla cheese at the bottom (which was very hard to chew) , beans, steak, sour cream and lettuce. Im so used to mexican restaurants using cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and maybe some guac on top. overall, i give this 2 stars . I honestly rather take that extra walk to el tio’s down the street and get more...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this place for the heart shaped tortas. I was so dissapointed in the quality of the food and the shockingly high price. Do not get me wrongg I will pay whatever the price is for GOOD food but rhis place was definitely not worth the price. First of all it was freezing inside of the restaurant and that made my food get cold right away. Then my attention was drawn to the Horchata in a blender looking cup. The price for that drink was ridiculous! It was $25 for some Horchata that was not even good. Then besides the drink being excessively expensive the heart shape torta tasted bad. It seemed like they were using old oil to fry the food. I know i was not the only that thought that about the food because I also overheard some of the other customers complaining about the food. People dont be fooled by the hearts shaped tortas or any other specials. THE FOOD HERE...
