I hired Miguel to do a surprise engagement photoshoot for me and my soon to be fiancée while visiting Chicago on vacation. He was incredibly responsive as I discussed my plan, and made things easy and clear even though we were not able to meet in person prior to the photoshoot since I live out of state. He even went into such detail about what to do before, during, and after proposing to make sure he had time to capture the right shots.

On the day of the proposal he sent a couple texts just to make sure everything was still going as planned. We ended up running late for our scheduled time, which was no problem for Miguel as without any sort of issue pushed the time back 30 minutes to accommodate us. At this point he reached the spot (as we were about to head over) and informed me that due to an event going on we would not be able to access the location we had discussed. As panic began to set in for me, and with no idea what to do, Miguel quickly suggested another location and gave me new instructions and the backup plan was in place.

We reached the location and he expertly pretended to be a tourist taking pictures as my unsuspecting girlfriend paid him no mind. When I proposed, Miguel captured the most amazing candid photos that we will cherish forever. He then had several other spots in mind for a staged photoshoot and got even more amazing photos. He was friendly, professional, and made the proposal absolutely unforgettable. Miguel went above and beyond, and truly saved the day. I will be forever grateful for that. I cannot recommend him...

My wife and I got married at City Hall marriage court downtown Chicago Nov 20, 2024 and needed to find a photographer pretty quickly. After looking around using google and some other sites we were lucky to find Miguel on thumbtack. We contacted several photographers and after looking at his portfolio and seeing how professional, responsive, and willing to work with our budget he was we chose him. It turned out to be the best choice! He was incredibly easy to work with and responded to all of our inquiries and questions immediately. My wife does not like taking pictures and we have several friends and family who were meeting for the first time at the wedding so you can imagine it was a little stressful for us. I worked as stock photography model for Mr. Narvaez on multiple occasions and just had the best time with him. He really knows how to set up and capture the moment and scene. He gives great supportive direction for best looks. He is very easy to work with--putting even the most camera shy person at ease. Our work has been used in a number of ads and educational materials including travel magazines, health care, banking, small business, retirement planning, etc. All of which speaks to the high quality of his work.
