I ordered delivery through the Subway app, requested a contactless delivery with a text when order is delivered. I checked the email with the tracking option and it said the order was already delivered, even though I didn't get a text. Nothing was outside. I called the restaurant and was told by an employee the order was still at the restaurant and no one picked it up for delivery. They even said they don't deliver thru the app even though I received an order from this specific location, on the app, thru delivery, 3 days ago! They told me to request a refund online but there was no option in the app, online, or through the customer service number. Online states that the restaurant needs to fix the issue. They refused to refund my order or deliver the order. I asked to pick up the order if the sandwiches were remade but they refused to do so unless i paid again, even though I never received my order. While I didn’t initially mind the mix-up, I was taken aback by the way the staff handled it. When I explained the situation, they doubted my claim and I was forced to both show my order confirmation and open the sandwich to show them it was incorrect.
This in itself might not warrant a complaint, but after I opened the sandwich with my bare hands, it was placed on the counter behind them. When the actual customer who ordered it arrived, they attempted to give her that same sandwich.
