Sushi World is easily tied for first with my other favorite restaurant, also a sushi restaurant. The service, food quality, and cleanliness are top of the line.
Upon entering, you'll notice tables are perfectly spaced for pandemic purposes, which conveniently also allows you to witness the level of cleanliness this establishment has. Floors, tables, food prep areas, windows, and chairs are all clean and well maintained. No wobbly tables or chairs, either. You are greeted the moment you arrive and are seated, if room is available. The only negative about the entryway is that there isn't much waiting room with the venue they chose, so people tend to wait inside the foyer, which creates a lack of mobility and health safety.
Your waitress will quickly explain how the menus and the all-you-can-eat system works. Drinks are very often refilled, chopsticks are readily available (and silverware upon request), and (un)used plates are quickly removed. The entirety of the staff are VERY respectful, very helpful, and diligent with their work. My hats off to the Itamae! Speaking of which...
The Itamae (sushi chefs) aren't just great preparers, they also seem to be platers as well! The organization of food on dishes and platters seems almost artistic. Whether intentional or not, I'm impressed. Many sushi restaurants I've been to tend to just slap the food down and serve, creating a chaotic scene on my plate. If I wanted the remnants of a fish war on a plate, I'd do it at home. Sushi World did very well.
And special kudos to the guy I saw standing back to the wall, arms crossed. Not sure if he's the owner, manager, or the guy who will flay you alive if you leave food leftover, but he was also respectful to everyone... even if he looked like he was going to hurt dine-n-dashers lol
My family and I left, all of us about to burst in pain. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and the experience is unforgettable. This is my new go-to. I'll be telling everyone I know to come here and to make...
Read moreI have been here a few times. The sushi is good, but the service is very hit or miss. There is one server who is very very kind, but today we had another server who made our experience very unpleasant and uncomfortable.. we came an hour before closing and placed one order. When the food came, she did not bring one roll and told us we have to finish what we had first to get the rest of our order. 2 minutes later she said the kitchen was closing and if we wanted anything. We said, just the last roll of our initial order and she warned us that we have to finish.. at the end we had two individual pieces left and she brought the staff to our table to discuss things in another language over us. I said to go ahead and charge me for the pieces but she insisted on talking with all the other employees over it and then after making a scene she said she would waive it this one time. I didn’t even ask her to waive anything, there was no reason to make a scene over two pieces charged or not.. will not return anymore. There is much better service and food at sushi taku...
Read moreTerrible service. The time you had to wait for your rolls it’s horrible. Our appetizers took 25 min to come out, and they were cold. Edemame, gyozas, grab Rangoon and takoyaki all cold. Then we hand to wait almost 40 min for 5 rolls. I had a clear to the counter. They had 5 people working. Mind we order our stuff before it got too busy, but the tables who got there after we placed our order got their food first. 4 tables got their food before us, tables who came after our order. Then I could see our food ready, waiting to be taken to our table and nobody of the ones who were running the food cared to take our to our table. All this happening and no one took a min to check on our table they just stared at us. I’ve work many years in the service & restaurant Industry and how they mage they service here it’s just not worth your time. Go somewhere else. Their food it’s not something outstanding to come back. Specially not with the service. Just save your...
