Jefferson Cafe — Restaurant in Jefferson

A Saturday morning. All the tables were filled except for two. Friendly place with a pert little waitress who was consistent with her attention and very timely. HOWEVER . . . My two fried eggs came with the whites seeming to be firm on the first bite, then after that it was downhill from there. The whites proved to be runny - actually hanging off my fork in hanging pieces swaying back and forth. Gross! The potatoes were obviously frozen and I don't fault them for that. BUT, they were waterlogged, and they should be dried out before hitting the frying pan. They no doubt sizzled in all the water they were carrying, then slapped on my plate in a pile of white, tasteless something or other. There wasn't an attempt to flatten them out in recognizable hash browns. Sausages were thin and very dry. My guess would be -- overcooked. The white toast was fine. First off we usually love this place we eat here 2 times a month although we will probably not come in for dinner anymore the staff at night is not the same. This morning t huh ough we came in 4 waitresses working 1 bus person 2 cooks in kitchen. Atleast 10 minute wait for drinks to begin with. Wrong food was brought out. And when the waitress asked if we wanted any sauces she walked away before anyone could answer. Her name on are ticket was Jenny. And if we come in here next time and she is are waitress we will probably walk back out. Good food. Reasonable pricing. We arrived 20 minutes prior this cafe closing at 2 pm and they still served us without making us feel rushed. I had the Jefferson burger with sweet potato fries which was very good, even though I was not asked him I wanted my burger cooked. My partner ordered an omelette and fries potatoes and said the omelette was excellent. The service was friendly and the entire bill with drinks was only $17.
