I waited in line for about 45 minutes (there was 5 people in front of me) that seems a little to long. The process to receive the order was taking a long time
I placed my order for the pizza burger basket. With grilled onions and cheese. With side of pizza sauce. Comes with fries and a drink. Then I ordered a chocolate cherry bomb ice cream in cup. What I received was a chocolate malt with whip cream. Initially I was ok I will just take it because at this point I had been there for almost an hour. I did not realize it would have taken this long. Then I received my burger, and then that's when it all went down hill. I tasted the burger and the meat quality was clearly extremely low grade meat quality. The beef patties were comparable to middle school cafeteria or prison burger patties at best! The patties were super dry and flavorless. Then I tried to drink the malt and I started drinking white chunks through the straw. I have no clue what the chunks were but it tasted like chunks of something that didn't taste like food almost like shavings of plastic got into the malt.
First time eating at this establishment and was truly one of the worst experiences I've had in Wisconsin. I expect a lot better from Wisconsin considering its reputation in the beef industry. I feel like Wisconsin and it's flag ship establishments should be held to a proud standard of being leaders in the beef industry, especially in what Wisconsin has to offer, not to mention avoiding some clearly simple missteps in food quality.
The burger, malt and experience was absolutely not something I would recommend for anyone and if I could give this place a negative star I absolutely would.
Almost forgot to mention. The pizza sauce on the side was given cold. So cold pizza sauce for warm burger? Umm I expect this from prison standards. If I wanted to cook from home I would have stayed home and done a better job. Even pizza places provide warm pizza sauce on the side for their breadsticks. Yet this place provided me days old pizza sauce cold from the refrigerator in a container. When we as customers go out to an establishment we expect at least the appearance of an attempt at quality. This place hosed me with plastic in the malt and a horrible experience at what I was excited and expecting to be a...
Went here on 4/19/2020 a Sunday at about 4:15 and what a nightmare it was. First off we waited about 20 min just to get through about 7 people waiting in line to order as the cashier was quite slow ringing people up. The ordering process was fine and the price was reasonable. I noticed walking by the window where the hamburgers are grilled that there was a 2 inch pool of grease on the griddle which is absolutely gross and ridiculous as the burgers and onions had no where to drain. Next we waited with about 20 people for our food “while maintaining social distancing of course” and noticed the backlog get worse and worse just for people waiting for their food. About 5 min later we got a can of soda and a bottled water we ordered which I thought was strange to bring it out without our other food. So moving along we waited and waited and waited and we finally got our food at 5:10, so from the time we got there to actually get our food took 55 minutes! That is totally unacceptable for a fast food style stand. Not sure if it would of helped if an adult was on the premises to properly manage becuse all I saw were teenagers running things. Moving along to our food, our soda and water were not even cold anymore because we had to wait so long for our food. The burgers we ordered were absolutely digusting and I have no idea how this place made it on a national tv show. The wrappers were just oozing with grease and the bun wasn’t recognizable as a bun as it had almost 100% consumed up the grease. Even the meat quality itself was frozen patties from a vendor even lower quality than Sysco. We did order deep fried pickle spears as well which were very good which earns you one star! I don’t know if this was a typical day for you guys or what but you won’t stay in business long with a business...
Read moreI stopped here today around 1pm. I am a contractor that does work in this area from time to time. I was excited because I heard all this hype about the cheese burgers and how great they are. Well I ordered a triple cheeseburger with grilled onions and frys with a side of beer cheese sauce. Wait was long. Which is understandable. But it gave me time to see how these burgers are made. Smashed down on a flat top grill. And the amount of liquid and whatever these burgers are sitting in is disgusting, no sear on the burgers. And absolutely no flavor. Bland as bland could be and before she put my burger in the container she had to turn burger on a slant and let all that liquid drip off. Totally a turn off. I could make a better burger on a stove. And why no salt or pepper. Way over priced for that paper thin patty cooked on a flat top of pure liquid. Could tell flat top not that hot. Fries were OK. Beer cheese was amazing. My favorite thing. Definitely don't know what the hype about. Maybe just a small town thing to these locals that don't get out of town much. But this is nothing to brag about. Definitely won't be back. FYI. When they were on TV and had the news there. That flat top looked nothing like it did today. There was at least a 1/4" of standing liquid all over it that there patties were sitting in and cooking. Nasty. I truly wanted to love this place. I have family up north in a small town of Pulaski WI. Near krokow where we have a family farm. And I really love small town gems. But...
