Came back excited a second time with my husband and daughter, and was very disappointed by the service and quality of food. Husband was charged for something that he didn't even order and the waitress was informed and was totally unapologetic. He specifically said no spicy, and the taco she chose for him was hotter than the quesadilla he didn't order (and was brought and charged for) because he was told it was spicy. My food was brought half way through everyone else's meal, we were never checked on for refills. Waitress seemed to have been forgotten about us since we were the only table upstairs occupied. It was a literal "what is so special about this place" moment between them and I, and I was embarrassed that i brought them here. With so many food options in Jeffersonville, I probably wont go out of my way to return. Amazing variety of tacos with explosive flavors! The food was delicious (the la catrina was my favorite) and the service was top notch. I dined alone on a whim and was made to feel just as comfortable as the larger groups. I sat on the patio and the music and ambiance was very relaxing and laid back and able to drown out the noise of the gameyard next door. I will absolutely be back with friends! Highly recommend!

upon entering restaurant door we were greeted by our server at the hostess stand. we opted for upstairs dining. this is a vintage house made into a cozy restaurant. outdoor tables available too. our server was friendly and on point. we indulged in their queso and chips, margaritas, tamales, shrimp taco and corn on the cob, all were great yum yum with the exception of the plain margarita tasted like dirty dish water. margarita with strawberry was delicious though. queso and chips didn’t seem as good as other restaurants. highly recommend. we will definitely return. returned within a week later for early week day dinner. opted again for inside upstairs dining. we appreciated the good service, and the food was great again. chips and queso were way better this time. shrimp taco and tamale were great. all the flavors, quality and textures were excellent. strawberry margarita and curros for dessert were same quality as other items and excellent. we enjoyed the service, atmosphere and meal. returned again for mid week early dinner. opted for upstairs dine in. air conditioning feels so good. strawberry margarita, chips & queso are enough for two, tamale and shrimp taco were good once again. all flavors are delicious.

Amazing food, the best Tamales I've ever had! Every dish is a masterpiece in flavor and presentation. This is not your cookie cutter Hispanic restaurant, you will get the best food you've ever had. Edit: it's been almost a year since I've been here, and I still think about these tacos. I need to plan another vacation. 2 year later update: I finally made it back, I walked from downtown Louisville and I was so happy to have the same amazing food. Time and the economy has not affected the quality of the food here. Everything is still fresh, delicious and the margaritas are perfection, not that sickingly sweet premix you get at other places. The saddest part of this stop will be having to walk back, and then wait until I visit again. Nos Vemos La Catrina ❤️

So, I am torn on this review... I had a late lunch yesterday and had an amazing experience. The tacos were on point and delicious! The tacos held together and had double shells, great toppings! It was the best guacamole I have ever had. My server was awesome and very personable. Yesterday, i would gove 5-stars!! However... My family decided to have dinner this evening for my dad's birthday and it really wasn't a wonderful experience. Drinks were left empty. A refill was in a cup half the size of the one originally received (are refills not included with purchase?) and took until the end of the meal to receive. I personally ordered two tacos and toppings were left off of them both, and were in asingle shell that were falling apart. I brought it to a servers attention and he confirmed that one was correct (Kentuckian - it wasn't) and the other, which came out as just meat and beans (Fuego), was not. He did have it remade, but then it had ground beef, instead of the steak that was on the original. Also, the quesadillas were the size of the tacos I ordered and looked like they were missing ingredients, as well. Those were ordered by family members, but I was quite surprised by their appearance and the salad served. So, i cant comment on their take on the dish. I don't know what happened from one day to the next, but I really hope this is just some growing pains and a rare case of inconsistency. I really enjoyed my first time there, and will be back to try again. You're needed in Jeff, and a wonderful addition...
