I had the best experience today! FYI, I did email the restaurant last night to make sure there were gluten free options (I couldn't tell based off the online menu), but I also had questions about cross contamination because I have Celiac Disease. The owner sent an email the following morning at 7:30am! She answered my questions and assured me she and her staff understood how serious food allergies are (her daughter has a peanut allergy). We went for lunch. When ordering I explained that I had celiac disease and cross contamination can make me sick. I was able to order a sandwich with GF bread (Udis), and got a salad as my side. I wanted French fries, but there is not a dedicated fryer. They had many other options! The kitchen toasted my bread on the flat top, because they didn't want to cross contaminate in their toaster. The food was AMAZING! It was nice to be able to eat a sandwich out, and the LT salad was delicious. I didn't have any issues that I typically have when eating out. The staff never made me feel like I was being a difficult customer (I asked a lot of questions), they were helpful, even double checking with me after we had found a table. I will...
Read moreJust across the bridge from Louisville is some of the freshest, best tasting, uniquely created soup, salads, and paninis you'll find for lunch in the area. It's difficult to choose just what to eat because everything is so amazingly good.
But their grits .... I can honestly say these are THE best grits you will ever eat. Don't like grits? Try them here and you'll likely change your mind. Daily creations like peach & bacon, s'mores, hot brown, rice krispie treat, cheeseburger, cheddar, and cinnamon sugar - just to name a few - will blow you away.
My only complaint is they are not open for dinner or weekends but since they are predominantly a catering business, it makes sense.

Read moreI have always loved orange clover just for their great food.. but now also for their amazing workers. I took my grandmother here after her chemo treatment. She always wants a good soup after. Treatment ran late & we arrived at 245 (orange clover closes at 230). We opened the door & a woman let us know they closed. My grandmother said something like “oh shoot I knew that. my chemo ran late & I forgot. I’m sorry”. The woman then asked us to wait at the front. She brought my grandmother the soup she wanted & a box of cookies. She said she knows she needs a good meal after, that she is buying her lunch today, and just to focus on healing. We were both so touched by her kindness & it really did mean alot that day. We will be back soon....
