New York Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in Jersey City

On 7/12, I entered there establishment to order a chicken gyro and i asked for extra white sauce as I always do. In the establishment at this time was this older pakistani guy, which i hate taking orders from because he's terrible.

I was optimistic, but he actually messed up my order and I realized this when i arrived home. He basically told them no white sauce on my gyro opposed to extra white sauce.

Upon realizing this when i arrive home. I had to travel all the way back to the store and by this time, the food was cooling.

When i arrived back at the store, I explained to the older pakistani what happened and he tried to give me two small cups of white sauce. I refused and advised that they needed to redo the order.

The older pakistani begins to get angry and curse at me. Then he goes in the back and I can hear him cursing at me and then he comes back around and tells me I'm trying to start trouble.

At that point, I don't want this man or the man in the back preparing my food. I stated just cancel my order.

That older pakistani has terrible, absolutely terrible customer service.

This place is the best in the area for fried chicken. I placed 3 stars on the atmosphere only because they are very busy and always full of people, so eating there is very possible, but you have people standing around waiting for their orders. you could have someone standing literally next to your table, no problems let me make that clear, just I personally can't eat with a person standing there staring at the food I am eating literally drooling cause they are hungry too😂. I also would like to mention, ignore all the one-star reviews, please. I have interacted with all the staff, and believe me when I say they are people like you and me. They have bad days, too. Most of the customers I have witnessed come in with attitude and then blame the staff on the energy they give back to these rude customers. People are entitled. This place IS EXTREMELY busy, and they do a great job attempting to please each customer as best as possible. If you come in acting like an a$$hole, you will be treated like an a$$hole. Last week I bought the 10 piece special. I always buy the same order and I pay $1 extra to omit the wings. Came home only to find that I was two pieces short. Called the restaurant to inform them; I was told to come in and they will give me the two pieces. My husband went in and they gave him a hard time even though he had the receipt. Then he asked them to ring the transaction at the register and it did not add up to the amount on the receipt. Last month I was there and they under charged me by twenty dollars. I went in and gave them the money. So it’s not about the two pieces of chicken, it’s the principle behind their mistake. We will never go to this establishment again.
