Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Jersey Village

This location is not the closest location to me however I come here because I have not had a bad experience with customer service or the food. In fact, I'm willing to drive the distance because this is the only Church's location where they smile and actually talk with you. They acknowledge you when you walk in and the food is always fresh (especially those tenders). My only qualm with this location and many of the Church's is if you do not check your order before you leave out the door or pull off you may be in for a surprise when you get home. I don't eat much fast food but I do eat at Church's on my "splurge days." Several times I've had the right order but the wrong flavor. I only eat spicy. These days, the worker is not fully to blame because times have changed and we have to be aware of what we are getting. I can say that anytime I have had the wrong flavor I either called once I got home or turned around and they apologized, fixed the order, and gave me something free. Today 02/07/25 I walked into the establishment and not one single person greeted me . I waited for them because i thought maybe they are busy and i can wait . I stepped outside to make a 5 minute phone call so that i would disturb the establishment especially while kids were present , and when i tried to re-enter the establishment, the doors were locked . There was a family of 4 eating while a man was taking his order . I knocked on the door so that they may let me in , and they did not . This is highly unprofessional and i feel as if i was discriminated against , i’m not sure if it was my race or maybe how i was presented but even still im in a all black onesie and curly hair . So that should tell you all you need to know i actually live a 5 min walk from the establishment and i can say if you’re black or just coming in to buy a quick meal do not go here . Avoid this location. They will mess up your order and argue with you about it when you ask them. I found a discrepancy on my receipt showing I had ordered a 10 pc when I ordered 8. When I got my order, I had 8 pcs while the receipt showed I had ordered 10. Since this was the drive thru, I decided to come in to ask them about it, but when I reached the storefront, one employee was already starting to close up and lock the door even though it was still far from closing time. I thought this was strange and asked to come in, but then I was immediately greeted by an angry manager who started yelling at me. She kept arguing the order was right, that she knows she's right, and insisted I ordered this when I ordered something else. I am a very passive person and I don't like to argue, I prefer to talk things through, but this manager refused to listen to anything I said.
