I came in this afternoon and ordered the same meal I order at any McDonald's. Which is a good thing because none of the menu boards were working and only one of the drive through speakers was functional. An employee informed me that they have been broken for many months. Which frankly is an obscene amount of time for management to choose to not fix the issue. I ordered a Deluxe crispy chicken sandwich with extra pickles large fry and a large strawberry banana smoothie. The employee told me to double check my order on the broken menu screen and then did not offer to read the order to me when I pointed out that I couldn't check the order, They simply said they were aware that the screen was broken and that they were required to say check the order on the screen. When I had them read me back the order they suspiciously did not mention the size of my fries, I asked them if they had made those a large as well and they said yes but when I paid they had not. As I was attempting to explain this issue to the woman at the pick up window she attempts to hand me a drink that is more than a quarter of the way empty. When I point out that the drink is not full she tells me that that's the way the machine made it and there's nothing she can do about it. I told her that I paid for full drink she got an attitude and then called for her manager who said he could fix it for me and all he did was fill the cup well over the brim with ice and blended together. I watched him do it and the product tastes watered down to corroborate that fact. The fries were perfectly fresh and that's the only getting an additional star on food quality because After all of that I got a sandwich with extra tomatoes and the same 2 pitiful pickles. The food was fresh but absolutely none of it was right I don't know what kind of an operation the manager of this location is running but it's clearly...
Read moreIt's an interesting time for McDonald's as they're working through (long overdue) menu upgrades trying to catch up with current consumer demands. If you follow industry news, you'd know their efforts are helping them gain market share along with Wendy's.
All that aside, I visit this particular location because it's close to my office and sometimes I need a quick lunch break. I'll be honest: it's not the best choice for my waistline, but deadlines don't care.
The folks who work here have always been pleasant, hospitable, and polite. I'll be honest again: for me, the hospitality bar is pretty low when it comes to McDonald's. I'm sure I'm not the only one. But these folks consistently deliver on it. I've also never once had an incorrect order, or missing sauces or napkins. These folks are thorough.
Since this is the only McDonald's I frequent due to its proximity to my office, I don't know if their service has improved across the board along with their menu, or if it's unique to this unit. But it's darn good here.
I usually drive through (they have a double drive-through like many Chic-fil-As), but recently the line was long so I went inside to order my food to-go.
They had what I assume was a recently installed kiosk for ordering that I've never used before. A manager came up and kindly walked me through the whole ordering process. I likely would've been fine on my own, but that extra touch of personalized service was above and beyond anything I'd expect at a McDonald's. It was refreshing.
If you must eat fast food - and let's face it, we all do from time to time - I'm glad these fine folks are here, working hard to provide a better experience.
I'll also add that I had my first post-Hurricane Harvey hot meal here, so there's that. Kudos to this team for feeding hungry, soaked Houstonians - a service of great importance after a natural disaster...
Read moreI genuinely hope this place shuts down for good. Okay, yeah, the inside looks all nice and cozy until you start seeing all the horrors of this place. This place SUCKS, and i’m saying that as the most tame way to describe it. The staff do not give a CRAP about you, the management sucks, and the wait time takes forever. You could be getting your food from the drive thru and wait around almost 30 minutes on a 6am morning. The staff ALWAYS ends up messing up the order or leaving some out; may say sorry after, and repeat their antics again. Then when you actually get the food, the quality is so bad that sometimes some fries would be burnt and some would be uncooked. Safe to say, spend your money SOMEWHERE ELSE because these people do not deserve it. All the 1 stars are true.
Onto my OWN story, I was going to pick up my own order that i made through the mcdonalds app. There’s honestly no way to mess it up when it’s right in front of you. And suddenly, they canceled my order saying that I would get a refund in 2-3 days. Guess what. It’s been over a week. I want my money back. Not to mention, i had to go back inside the actual mcdonalds to order since the app wasn’t ALLOWING me to. So after I ordered my things, I checked inside the bag and I was still missing a hashbrown. It was early in the morning and I was already running late to school so I let it go. What I WONT let go is my refund that they have not given back to me. I had paid double the price of what i wanted ($46-$47) just for one and a missing hashbrown. I decided to give it some time.. but over a week is too much. I call, I call, and I call… but nothing. Give me my damn 23.24...
