I work near here and there isn't another chicken restaurant that I have found in the area...the service is always horrible and all of the employees have attitudes and act like they do not want to be there especially the bright girl that wears glasses who is always talking about what she is not going to do and that the customers get on her nerves and doesn't care that they can hear her...whenever I go there I always have to wait for my food and something is always cold, either the chicken is cold and the fries are not, or vice versa...I have had to wait for my food over 20 minutes, luckily I work 3 minutes away...I only go there when I am tired of eating everything else in the area...
Update: On 1/29/19 I went here with a co-worker to eat lunch...I ordered the nuggets and fries basket with a drink for $5.00...something told me to break the nugget open and not just bite into it...half of the nugget was uncooked and still raw...I took it to the manager, and it told me that it was fine to eat and that it might look like that because of the batter...I told him that I wasn't crazy and that I wanted my money back...when I gave him my card, he said that he didnt need it, he would just reverse the charge...I took him at his word, went back to the table and waited for my coworker to finish eating...I checked my account on 2/4/19 and to my surprise my money wasn't returned...I went by there on my way home from work and the young man who claims to be the manager told me that I would have to wait 20 - 30 minutes for the District Manager to come and when I said that I was not going to wait, he told me sorry bir there was nothing that he could do...I described the manager that was on duty that day and I even though who the girl was that waited on me...he again told me that I could wait for the District Manager because there was nothing that he could do...so I told him that I am going to do just what I should have done that day which is call the Health Department and report them...he say do what you have to do...so I will...anybody who plans to eat here needs to be very cautious and mamake sure that they check their food before they eat it...eating raw...
Read moreTo Whom It May Concern,
I’m writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the ongoing service I’ve received at your Popeyes location near Island Cay. I’ve visited this location at least six to seven times since moving into the neighborhood a few months ago, and unfortunately, I’ve experienced consistently poor service on every visit.
Each time I walk in, I’m immediately directed to the self-service kiosk—even when I have a question or prefer to order at the counter. The team shows little to no interest in engaging with customers. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told 45 minutes before closing that no more chicken will be prepared. When I offer to wait, I’m told there is a chicken shortage, or that it’s simply against policy to make more.
Employees frequently cite that they’re short-staffed, and often blame the manager or supervisor. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told flatly, “We don’t cook more chicken after a certain time,” with no effort made to accommodate my request. I’ve never experienced this level of indifference or disregard for customers at any Popeyes before—and I’ve been a loyal customer for years.
I chose to continue coming back, hoping the service might improve, especially since I now live just around the corner. But unfortunately, it seems the culture of poor customer service is deeply ingrained at this location. I’ve worked in management for over 20 years, and I can confidently say that what I’ve witnessed is unacceptable. There is no ownership of issues, no accountability, and no effort to improve the guest experience.
Popeyes is a brand I’ve always enjoyed because of the food quality. But the customer experience at this location is tarnishing that reputation. I strongly urge ownership or higher-level management to review the store’s performance, retrain staff, and reinforce the importance of hospitality and accountability.
Please take a moment to read your reviews online—they reflect the same concerns I’m raising here. This isn’t a one-off issue; it’s a systemic problem that requires...
Read moreI placed an order through the drive-thru and requested that my food be cooked to order. I was informed by the cashier that it would take approximately 15 minutes. However, after waiting for more than 15 minutes, I went inside to inquire about my order. Upon entering, I explained that I was still waiting for my food and asked to speak with a manager, as well as for the corporate phone number. A staff member informed me that the corporate number was posted on the door. I continued to wait, and nearly 30 minutes had passed without receiving my order. Frustrated and hungry, I requested a refund. Throughout this time, I observed several employees standing around without attending to customer orders. Their lack of urgency and professionalism was concerning, especially as another customer was also waiting and expressing dissatisfaction. Despite this, the staff appeared to be laughing and joking while customers continued to wait. The night shift manager, Maria, did not offer any apology or accommodation for the inconvenience. Additionally, when I later called to address the issue, she hung up on me, which I found highly unprofessional. I am now left waiting for my refund to be processed by the bank. I am extremely disappointed with the poor service and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the staff, including the manager on duty. I believe this situation reflects poorly on your establishment, and I feel that corrective action is necessary. I hope that someone will take this matter seriously and address the issues with the staff at...
