I’m very VERY picky about my Vietnamese food. We went here today after our normal sushi place announced they were now closed on Mondays. The food was phenomenal! This is a bit weird, but I can always tell a restaurant’s quality based on their fresh spring rolls. There’s a place in humble that I would only eat at, but wasn’t able to go to for years because I had moved. I felt like the food critic in Ratatouille when he ate the food and had a flashback to his mom’s meal. It was that good. Another review said that these were the best spring rolls in Houston and they were right! I had the seafood pho too. I didn’t have to add anything to the broth, it was very aromatic and tasted amazing. My girlfriend had the bao and the pineapple curry. The jasmine milk tea was great too. No burnt taste. Great service too! Employees are very friendly and occasionally check in to make sure everything is great so you don’t have to worry about being caught off guard in the middle of eating. I will definitely be coming back here again. Thanks for the great...
Read moreVery unassuming storefront with very little signage, not even hours of operation. But inside this cafe is super cute, with calming decor and comfortable seating. Customer service at the counter is top notch! I ordered a variety of appetizers, as they have a wide selection and too many of my favorites to choose from. Service was very quick and the food is fresh and piping hot. Crab puffs are crispy and creamy, the sweet and sour sauce is very thin. Chicken satay is perfectly cooked and the peanut sauce is perfect. Wish it came with a little cucumber salad though. Shrimp roll was stuffed full, very fresh and not soggy at all. Steamed pork buns are cooked to the right consistency and the filling is very tasty. I do prefer the BBQ pork filling and this was more akin to like a pork egg roll but was also delicious. Sauce for the orange chicken is superb and chicken is crispy but heavily breaded. The Mango tea was also very tasty. Happy to have found this little gem and will definitely be a...
Read moreI feel betrayed by the past reviews on this restaurant, I thought it was gonna be really good. I spent about $40 worth of food ready to have a delicious feast. But I was met with THE most bland food I've ever tasted in my 37 years of life!! Holy crap I had to write a review and express my disappointment. The service was friendly and nice but the food was wow... I didn't understand how it could literally taste like nothing yet have color to it like it's been cooked with sauces and spices. I kid you not it tasted like absolute nothingness. I verified this with my gf who tasted it as well. Unfortunately this was my first and last visit. And for future patrons,I could not in good conscience recommend this place. Hopefully it was just a one off mistake but since I'm visiting out of state I'll never get that chance. So much food...
