Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Texas

I’ve been coming here for 10+ years to always order their mini blizzards. I’ve never had a problem until my most recent visit. When I ordered a MINI blizzard, they gave me what looks like their small/medium size blizzard. I did not complain or say anything as I thought they ran out of mini cups and saw they didn’t charge me extra for the size. As I’m eating my ice cream, I see there’s a STRING in it! I thought maybe it was part of the machine or the cup and it accidentally got in there. But as a family member of an ex Dairy Queen employee, she said there is no way a piece of string could of gotten in there as their machines and parts have no use of string. When I went back to correct my order, the guy did not even apologize. He just looked at my blizzard and said he will get me another one. He gave me the same small/medium size cup when I had asked for a mini again. No apology, no acknowledgment, no remorse, nothing. He just gave me the blizzard and walked away. Extremely...

The food is great here, and I've been a fan of Dairy Queen since I was a kid. Their steak finger basket is great and a fave, and I have always loved the ice cream - blizzards, chocolate dipped ice cream, sundaes, parfaits, banana splits....so good. Dairy Queen is a Texas mainstay, historic, even icon, and a warm place in my heart for. The service is good and friendly for the most part, but there's been a couple of times of being standoffish and short. Lastly, as good as I love it here and everything else, it has become pricey. Ugh. Pricey enough that this is only an occassional outing meal - no rewards, coupons, specials, or bargains here (other than the one posted at the drive-thru window). Our prices for two meals, such as 2 steak finger combos, two desserts, and a side item (no upgrades, etc.) - nearly $40 or more. Ouch - at a fast food place? Man this place has taken a turn for the worst!! I decided to come in today omg!! I regret it quick! First watching the lady come from the back with an open bag of frozen food prolly frost bitten!! Then the dirt! Mold! One thing after another!! The dust, dirt, mold!! Seriously!! Never ever again will I come here and eat!! NEVER!!!

Who ever managers this DQ needs to be the district manager cause he don’t put out bad food @ ALLLLL!! I’ve been 3 times and my food has been fresh!!! HE DESERVES A RAISE!!! That’s the quality that’s expected! I drive further to come to this location than the one on highway 6, cause they suckkkkkkkkkk!!! Thank u DQ workers. Visit was SAT MARCH 9th 2024
