Shipley's Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I probably would give 0 stars if I could. We consistently stop by this location for Sunday donuts so we decided to use them for a large breakfast event. Because we planned on spending so much money and ordering so many donuts, we were very diligent with calling ahead to place the order. However, we called multiple times and were hung up on at least 5 times. They just kept saying “no manager” and then they would hang up. Incredibly unprofessional and extremely rude. We didn’t even get to place the order. We actually had heard from a few friends that this location is under new management and has been horrible ever since. I’m assuming the previous reviews with higher stars are from the old management.

Needless to say, we will stop going. We ended up calling the Shipley’s in Cypress on Northwest Freeway (near the Lowes). They immediately answered and took our order. I would recommend going to the Northwest Freeway location and not even bothering with this...

I can understand why the "blonde" hispanic lady might always have an attitude or acts like she doesn't care. It seems like she's always alone for the whole shop. It's so unfortunate that management won't get more staff and they should definitely get more employees, mainly because just one person can not perform drive-through, baking, cleaning, cashier and walk-in alone. Also donuts are NOT fresh, they or most likely she just makes donuts in the morning and they have to last all day long, and if they are out of a specific donut they will be out for the rest of the day. And that's the importance of having more than one person because, yes, management can not expect one worker to do every position on her own. that's overwork . The staff is atmosphere so 1 star it was! Cashier lady was rude. In a hurry to get rid of me and no1 was behind me. The ham and cheese kolache tasted old, dried ham and hardly any cheese!!! So it was definitely dry mouth after eating it. Very disappointed because they had just ran out of ham and cheese and it wasn't even 11am yet. She wasn't friendly. Her customer service was not pleasant. I even asked if she was going to have more ham and cheese kolaches later today, and she said no. But why not?! Yall close at 3pm!!
