I ordered a 2-tier cake for my mother's 85th birthday party from Suzybeez. I wanted something elegant, and they delivered. It was gorgeous and delicious! One tier was almond with peach filling, the other was red velvet, and both were moist and flavorful. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the cake was! I wish I could post a picture. Originally, I was hesitant to contact them because of a few negative reviews...so glad I did! I had contacted 3 different area bakeries and they were the only one that consistently returned my emails and phone calls. I spoke at length on the phone with Jan, and she was so helpful and patient - speaking with me long past bakery hours. They were crazy busy those 2 weeks, but she still gave me plenty of attention. I ordered the cake totally over the phone, with her and her daughter's suggestions, and couldn't be happier. I was looking to get a custom birthday cake made for my son birthday party and Suzybeez Bakery was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I had already tried their cake from another birthday party and it was delicious! I immediately reached out to Suzybeez and the response was quick and the customer service was great! I was given several cake flavor options and let’s just say, it was hard to choose. It was an easy and smooth process from ordering the cake to Suzybeez reaching out to confirm my pickup day. Once I picked it up, I was greeted with again, great customer service. The cake looked just like I wanted it and while I was there I saw they had cupcakes so I ordered just one to try (wedding cake flavor) and it was even delicious!! I left with not only my son’s amazing custom birthday cake but with a cupcake that I ate immediately when I got in the car. I used Suzybeez for my wedding cake and I was a little disappointed with the way the cake turned out. My wedding was Oct. 23, 2021 and when we did our cake tasting it went wonderful, we picked three different flavors, the mexican chocolate, ammaretto with strawberry filling and lemon with raspberry filling. All of the flavors at the cake tasting were great and everyone was nice, however when my wedding day came and we actually sliced into the cake we noticed that we were skimped on the filling! it was like whoever made the cake was trying to ration the filling out and there was only filling towards the center with the rest being buttercream. I thought about it for a long time before deciding to write this review, I thought maybe they were low on supplies or were just having a bad day. But honestly we paid good money for the cake and if anything why would you put little to no filling within the middle of someone's wedding cake. It really disappointed me and guests noticed too.
