Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Late night craving turned into a NIGHTMARE! First off I live literally 5 mins down the road from this Sonic. I have been going to it for 4 years now for a nice cold refreshing slush and the occasional meal. I don't know why for the last year or so this place has turned into a dump!! I keep my eye out for the sign and it to be lit up. The sign is never lit up any more. The entrance is not appealing and over grown. The location is hard to find now. especially at night. Honestly completely passed it up last night July 1st at about 9:45pm-10:00pm and it doesn't close until 11:00pm. Despite the fact of knowing the general location. I was just wanting to pick up a slush and get my pregnant sister a brownie cookie dough blast. We had to U-turn and come back down Jones because again looking out for a lit sign or even the lights on the covers for the car hop area but didn't see any of it. Once we arrived we pressed the red button, that wasn't a terrible wait but as soon as the the lady got on the intercom she was continually being obnoxious repeating that she couldn't hear me after I place my first drink order and was trying to tell her the second order. she heard me just fine with the first but even with me yelling twice as loud than when I said the first drink she still repeats that she can't hear me. Then tells me to hold on. Thinking that she was going to come out to the car to better assist us, she gets back on she says can you repeat your order with an irritated tone in her voice. I repeated it and when I said the the brownie cookie dough blast she rudely cut me off and said we don't have brownie. With no problems we changed it. As we watched the screen it said it was on its way, but waiting 15 additional mins after it said it was on its way. I didn't have a problem but noticed than in the parking lot it was completely empty except one car with no lights on, not running and I assumed it was hers. She finally walks out with drinks and food. All I was just trying to do was make sure she wasn't bring out the wrong order so I said we only got drinks and she said "uuuuhhhh yeah" with the rudest tone in her voice. I proceed to give her cash money, and change was 00.12 cents. Not that I am worried about the change but I thought they carried around change on their waist. We sat in our car to enjoy our treat before pulling away and she comes from inside with the change and again with the attitude said "here is you 00.12 cents". At this point I didn't even want to sit in the lot anymore. NO WONDER ITS A GHOST TOWN. OWNERS NEED TO DO SOMETING ABOUT THE LOCATION APPEARANCE OF THE ENTRANCE AND THE LIGHTING. ALSO TO CHECKS STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE ABILITIES AND...

I usually order the real fruit slushies and it's not blended in I ask the morning crew if they can blend it more and they have no issue doing so. But when I went during the afternoon, I had the same problem and kindly asked if I could have it blended, and the worker said I cannot take it back and I showed her that it doesn't look like there was any mix in it or blended and she said that's how the machine make it... Even though she offered to get more strawberries it's kind of a disappointment that I have to dump out some of the drink just to blend it because it overflows if I try to blend it myself with all of the drink still in it.

EDIT I changed the review to one star because we went at night and tried to order a breakfast sandwich. They said they don't do breakfast at night. We decided to drive down the road to another Sonic and we ordered the same thing no issues. We told them about the issue, and they were confused because "We don't do breakfast at night" is false. Unless they were out of the food but that is not what...

Yum BUT EATER BEWARE OF THE DRIVE THRU SCARE

You will drive up to the speaker to place your order. You will hear a choppy greeting. ‣ this is where you decide your fate. ‣ ‣ you can leave or stay. ‣ ‣ ‣ you stay. of course you stay. you are invested.

So with the choppy greeting over with, you attempt to make your order. Silence. It is then that you realize it.. the speaker is malfunctioning. The employee can't hear you. So he yells at you. Chopped up angry words that you can't make out, but take personally anyway.

You've had enough ... you take control. You squeeze your sweaty palms on the steering wheel & drive up to that damn window prepared to throw down in the most non-threateningly way.. But the window opens... and the guy who made you feel so nervous and sweaty, was super nice with a big smile.
