I went there not too long ago. And I got the police called on me. So I looked online because I was looking for nearby restaurant items with tofu. And being recently vegetarian I am just now learning places to get good meals. So I called and placed an order to pick up. When I got there the price they told me was not the price I saw online. It was thirty bucks for two items. And one of those items being an appetizer. So I question the prices. I was then told that those prices are 10 years old. So my response to that was how does that make me responsible for the prices you listed? I was basing what I ordered off of those prices. So I told them that I did not want the appetizer. Then the lady lost it on me. she started yelling at me telling me I had to purchase the appetizer. She said I had to pay for it because I ordered it. and I told her I would not have ordered it if I would have known it would be that expensive. I'm base my order off what the price was. Mind you I haven't even seen them bring up the food so it's nowhere close to my possession. So I repeatedly told her I did not want the appetizer. She started yelling at me demanding for me to give her my card. And I refuse to. I was also with my five-year-old daughter who was witnessing this. so I told her I was going to leave and I didn't want any of it. as I was proceeding to walk toward the door they yelled for gentleman who then chased me out and stood by my car. He started calling the police so I got on my phone and started calling them as well. He was standing next to the door of my car so I couldn't get in. And honestly if my daughter was not there I would have pushed him out of the way. Luckily my daughter's grandfather, who is an officer, was actually meeting me there to pick her up. So he had gotten out of the car, got her into his vehicle, and told the guy he needed to get away from my car. He told him that the cops were on the way. The guy finally backed off and I left. I have never ever dealt with a situation like this before and hopefully they never treat...
Read moreWhen i walked into the restaurant, I was the only customer there...no other customer was there to eat. I thought it was because of the cold weather, but after my experience here, I realized it's most likely because of the customer service. I sat down and ordered the bean thread soup and Angel wings appetizer. I also mentioned to the waitress that i would start with these items and will order my entree afterwards. The soup was soothing and perfect for the cold weather. The two angel wings were delicious, especially with the sweet chili sauce that accompanied them. After i finished, I waited for the waitress to come back so that i could order more. I looked back and she was at the cash register not looking at me. Minutes later, she dropped the check down at my table. I asked her, "Are you chasing me out?" She laughed and said, "No." I reminded her that i was going to order more, but she replied that I never said that. I told her that i did say I wanted to order more after my soup and appetizer. She explained that i had to flag her down to order more. I responded by telling her that at most good restaurants, wait staff usually ask if the customer wants to order anything else before giving them the check. She told me, "Good. Then go there then." Her response took me completely by surprise. I said, "Ok," and quickly paid my check and left. My waitress returned to the cash register complaining to her coworkers about me as she walked back. I truly didn't expect this. The food was good, but having good food doesn't mean you can treat the customers badly. I don't recommend this restaurant because of the bad customer service, but they do have some good...
Read more2 separate entrees of Pad Woon Sen - more bellpepper than noodle. Like, hardly any noodles in either. What a disappointment. the entree was advertised as having mushrooms or "black fungus" and yet... none. the flavor wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, and in a city like Houston, there are too many other yummy Thai options.
Additionally, when placing an order through DoorDash, the courrier has to go into the restaurant and manually place the order. In my case, my order was accepted a second time at roughly the same time I was told it would arrive to my house. However, DoorDash texted me almost immediately after the order was placed; 30 min later, I received the same notice, stating the restaurant had again received my order. When I called DoorDash corporate, I was told this is standard practice with some restaurants, especially ones newer to the DoorDash service. So I guess the consumer is just expected to happily accept the cost of their time because the restaurant wants special...
