Been a patron here since they opened usually going 2-3 times a week. I’ve asked to speak to the manager four times since they opened. The first three times the manager listened and addressed my concerns. I was impressed. This last time, about a week ago, the last week of May 2024, went with six adults. Two of us received our meals at the same time two received part of their meals and two received nothing. Literally, 16 minutes lter the rest of the food came. Two were finished eating, two had part of their food cold and part hot, and two of us were about to eat. I excused myself from the table and asked to speak to the manager. He came out from the kitchen and I showed him the table with 2 finished eating, 2 with hot and cold dinner, two with meals just served. His reply, we are doing the best we can. I said I understand, but we’d like to eat together not separately. That’s why we came together. His reply was the same, we are doing all we can. I replied, “really? You simply couldn’t bring out our meals at the same time? The service here is getting bad. We may have to start going back to Laredo’s!” His reply: “maybe you should”! I was flabbergasted, to say the least! The manager just told me he didn’t want my business. I replied: “wow, that’s shocking! I guess I’ll share that with the owner that you don’t want regulars coming to Tequilas!” His reply: “you just told the owner!”
Don’t know if he is the owner or not! But I won’t be back! I get we all have bad days. But to tell a customer not to do business there because service was poor! That’s next level ignorance!!!
I told him he could tip my wait staff since he didn’t want my business. I paid my bill, as did my company, and we left. Won’t be back!
The young lady (teenager) kept smiling at me and replied “have a good night” to me six or seven times as I stood there waiting in line to pay. I asked her if her words were sarcasm and she said I could take them any way I wished. Then she told me I could leave after I paid. I told her I’d leave when everyone in my party had paid. She was quite the nasty little girl!
I made comments on the back of my receipt stating I thought the service was poor and she taped it to the back wall so everyone could read my comments! I was shocked. They posted a bad review right behind the cash register for all their customers to read! Hilarious!!!
PS: the other three issues I spoke to the manager about:
first week they were open, I ordered a jumbo margarita. Waitress brought me a medium. I asked what size the guy at a different table had and she said half pitcher, but that didn’t seem right. I asked for the manager and he corrected her on the sizes and brought me out a jumbo!
my wife and I ordered medium margarita, I had original and she had a flavored kind. Hers was $3 more just cause it was flavored. I asked to speak to the manager and he came out. I simply said you and I know it doesn’t cost more for a flavor. Same amount of ingredients, why should I pay $3 more. He changed her price to the same as mine. The following week all same size margaritas were the same price.
my wife ordered a potato burrito*. The waitress brought her a tortilla with French fries on top. My wife replied, I asked for a potato burrito and the waitress said that’s what I served you. I then replied, my wife has ordered that before here and it never came with French fries on a tortilla. She insisted, absolutely insisted, that was their potato burrito. I took the plate to the bartender who I’ve gotten to know bc I’m there so often. I simply said, can you fix this for us? He looked at it and replied, what should it be? I said potato burrito and he said, that’s not a good attempt. Bring it right to you. Within a minute my wife had a potato burrito. He then said there are new people in the kitchen. They simply didn’t know the correct way to make it. at Tequila’s, their potato burrito is French fries ground up and placed in a tortilla and reheated. I would...
So it was lunch and kinda busy. Hostess was friendly and did her job. We was sat and we sat for a few minutes before a man brought Chios..took our server (white female short with short blonde hair and nose ring) close to ten minutes to even greet us.Never said name and she seemed very preoccupied. We ordered drinks and again two minutes plus foe them to arrive. She never brought the lemon for the water as asked. We finally ordered and also a Togo order. She took that and left assuming g to put order in..We didn't see her again for 10 or more minutes and she brought the salad beans rice plate out and sat on our table. Didn't ask us if we was OK just dropped plates and left. So again we sit and wait she then brings my food out..lol..which was the shrimp,steak chicken fajitas meal. I'm looking at my BF and he's sitting like wth,she leaves and about 5 minutes she brings his plate..now my food was not sizzling on plate like should have been it was cold on top and no flavor at all.Very very dry meat. The Pico had no flavor. I was not impressed at all for the price. I won't go back I would rather eat Laredos, Tequilas is not authentic I think it's out a box. Horrible service and horrible food. Server never checked on us after the food...
Read moreMe and my wife both work in the restaurant industry, so whenever we go out we try to be understanding, and respectful. However, last night her and I both found that very hard to do. She ordered enchiladas, and I got a fajita bowl. Let me tell you, best shrimp I've had in awhile. After a couple of bites, I look down and see a hair. So I politely got out servers attention, showed her, and we agreed for a remake because I totally understand how it happens. After a couple of minutes, she returns to our table to inform me that my food is cooking, but goes on to say how the cook was upset because whenever she showed him the hair, he just picked it out the food and wanted to send the same food back out to me....wait what?!! Now I'm pretty pissed.. how many times before me has he just send the same hairy food back out to someone?! So I requested to talk to the person in charge. This is what really baffled me.. our server had to literally drag the manager over to our table, and when he got there all he done was laugh in my face. Long story short, we won't be back because it took everything in my power last night to just walk away Our server was great, but y'all's cook has no morals, and your manager that was there last night...
