Never had Venezuelan cuisine before. I have been missing out apparently. The food here was very filling and left really satisfied.
The restaurant itself is deceptively big. It's a narrow restaurant but deep and has plenty of seating. Price wise the restaurant is affordable and for the quality you are receiving it's a good deal.
Most of the menu, you probably have never heard of and even with the descriptions you still might not be too sure what to get. I went with someone who has been there before so they were able to recommend a few dishes. If you don't know anyone, ask the waiter and I'm sure they'll be able to recommend a favorite.
The food though is very savory and you'll be surprised by how well it fills you up. Definitely worth the visit. The food is unique in its own way when you compare it to other Latin countries. Words really can't describe it. It's something you have to try...
Read moreTheir menu has expanded since my last visit pre-COVID and there are now many vegetarian and vegan options at this place. It has limited seating indoors which even when full, doesn't seem packed. There are several tables in a pretty patio for good weather seating. The food is excellent - had a vegan cachapas which was slightly sweet from the corn, had lightly crisped edges and was chock-full of vegetables. Ordered some cheese to add on. A bit like mozzarella, it melts light when warmed and was a wonderful additions to the cachapas. The cachapas was a significant portion that is more than adequate for a full meal. Had a small plate of sweet plantains for dessert. One of the owners, Gabriel, was there moving through the tables and ensuring everyone's meal was good. This restaurant remains an unexpected gem in the corner of this shopping center and is worth...
Read moreWent here for lunch on Saturday. Food was good, and desite there being a large party, we were waited on immediately and received our food in a fairly timely manner given the other party of about 10. We also enjoyed the live music. We liked the place so much that we decided to come back for dinner to try the soup that seemed to be popular among the large lunch group. After we were seated, it took 20 minutes to be spoken to again and another 5 to get a coffee and water. We almost left. The food came out quickly, but the soup was mediocre, and the beans of another entree were lukewarm. New customer was gained and lost in the same day. Level of service or complete lack thereof was unacceptable. Shouldn't have to wait for our waiter to finish cleaning the restroom before...
