Came here on a quiet evening for dinner and it was not very busy. Could be because it was raining as well. There was only one person working in the front, so if you're someone who expects instant service, you should try practicing patience. The lady who served our food is so nice and generous, we didn't mind the wait at all. She seemed mindful and sanitary about the work space, so I do appreciate that, as most ingredients are handled raw. Prices are reasonable for the portions we received, which was more than enough for each of us. We each got a bowl with our preferred ingredients, mine being the kale + rice base with raw salmon + spicy tuna protein. I'd tried the "taki" sauce this time, which is the store combination of chojang, cilantro citrus and sesame oil, and it was exactly what I needed. There is a wide variety of toppings available to completely customize your bowl, from raw to pickled to dry. We were very satisfied with the experience. Food is served on a tray and you get your own table and utensils. Please try to clean up after yourselves like civilized human beings.
The menu offers ramen, musubis, chicken skewers, boba drinks and some sides as well. I would like to come back and try the musubis, since Poke Rock offers options...
Read moreMy wife and I wanted to venture out to a new Poke spot in the John’s Creek/Peachtree Corners/Roswell area. Unfortunately, our first visit didn’t meet expectations as compared to others in the area like Poke Bar. The restaurant uses jasmine rice which is a smaller/drier rice compared to sushi rice (softer/thicker) which is a huge no-no for poke bowls. It tasted like it was left in the rice cooker too long so came out harder and dry. The fish quality was okay but mine came out near frozen from their fridge. I also wanted fresh sweet tea or green tea but they only had bottled drinks. On a positive note - the restaurant is very clean and well-lit with plenty of spaces.
I hate to leave bad reviews like this but hopefully the restaurant is open for improvements...
Read moreThis place is awesome!!! Brought my mom and son. My son got a Korean bulgogi rice bowl. Demolished it. I got a two protein bowl with spicy tuna and salmon - added white rice, pickled cucumbers, pickled onions, edamame, cilantro, jalepeno, crab salad, and topped it off with the “Rock” sauce and spicy mayo! Demolished it! If you’re in the mood for “Poke”, you won’t be disappointed here. And unlike other poke restaurants, they have other options: hot Korean food options (bulgogi, chicken, japchae), Musabis, and their Japanese style ramen is amazing too. I’ll be back often!! Oh, and place is clean...
