We really loved coming here when they first opened. Their first year was great. The last few times I have went I’ve been met with disappointment. Their prices have went up, less gold, more money, they also discontinued their half off games on Wednesday which really took a hit for us. I went from winning the crane machines every time to walking away with nothing the last 3 times or having to play a ridiculous amount of times before it wins. It’s not me, the cranes literally drop or fling the prize just as quickly as they were picked up. It did not used to be that way. I went last night and won one game once out of $100 spent. I know this is essentially like gambling and a win isn’t guaranteed. But it’s a little convenient the amount I was winning the first year we came compared to now, along with the price raises. I’m disappointed. I don’t get to get out a lot, don’t have much money, this is the only thing around here I really like doing and after losing non stop and being unable to win any of the cranes the last 3+ visits along with the cost of the games continuing to rise, I see myself returning less and less. Games that were 10 gold are now 20, many have went up. The half price nights were great for those of us on a budget. However I understand you all have a business to run and have to make money somehow. Maybe I just have horrible luck and the joy has worn off because I am more focused on winning big amounts of tickets to get good prizes that are worth the $100-200 I just spent and worked hard to earn vs just enjoying the games for the sake of it anymore because I don’t get to come out often.
Our service with the food has been hit or miss and there seems to be inconsistency with the menu items offered at times. Sometimes we get our food quickly sometimes we are waiting a ridiculous amount of time. I really loved their food for the longest time too.
Personally, I would love if more discounted nights came back, and maybe we got some better cooperative games like a guitar hero or rock band machine. A small children’s area would be awesome too for those of us who don’t get the luxury of a sitter but I can see how that could be...
Read moreI'd like to preface this review by stating that I have been to tiebreakers a number of times, but the experience has seen a steady yet dramatic decline over the last year. Seemingly because of my performance on a particular game in the arcade, after a while of winning, the staff doubled the play price of the game and reduced the jackpot to one quarter of its original value. They also have a remarkably unstable pricing system in their arcade prize shop, making it either unviable or downright impossible for any patron to save their tickets for a high-value item. My last experience at tiebreakers was today, where I had a long winning streak on one of the machines. It is important to understand that the machine prompts one to 'tap to play again' immediately following the end of a round. After winning several times semi-consecutively, the machine began to count up the large ticket payout that I was owed. After an hour of (very slow) counting, it stopped and I realized that the amount I was owed was not added to my card's balance--about 1/3 was actually added. I asked the front desk about my issue and was told that I was incorrect regarding the prize I won. When presented with a picture of the ticket counter, they continued to blame the error on me, stating that the reduced payout was the result of the tapping of my play card immediately after each game (which I was instructed to do by the machine). I felt patronized when they tried to tell me that the sum of all my previous payouts added up to the total which I was currently owed. For anyone that has spent any time playing modern arcade games, this is a wild misrepresentation of how the systems actually work. This was especially disheartening coming from the "tech" that was supposedly responsible for maintaining these games. All in all, I was shorted about 7,000 tickets by the end of the day, which translates to very real money being spent and stolen. Sincerely, A very disappointed...
Read moreOver crowded for a small space , Alcohol bottles with some alcohol where on the playroom floor ( I took two to the bar to prevent children from getting them or someone falling and getting hurt tripping or cutting themself) for this alone I would say this is not a child friendly atmosphere. Adults where running into not only myself carrying a 3 year old but by children. We asked about a table for 7 and where told wait time would be two hours even though they where mostly empty our entire hour and a half stay. When asked at that time they said they didn't know when one would be available (most seats where empty) we also spent $140 on playing and walked away with just over 7000 tokens total and that doesn't get you a whole lot but some candy and small toys. Definitely will stick to Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge arcades if we want arcade entertainment in the future at that price. Esthetically this place is very very appealing though I'll give them that they offer great games themselfs that are very fun , other than the alcohol bottles the place was very clean , the floor in the store area is really cool looking , the food we saw being served smelled and looked amazing but unfortunately we didn't get to taste it and that was the main thing we wanted to do. (We where going to eat and play in the arcade as a gift for my son's birthday) If I have any advice for the business it would be #1 hand sanitizer stations #2 Make sure Alcoholic beverages are kept at the bar or your looking at a possible and likely lawsuit (limit them if you don't have a limit) #3 better services getting food (perhaps it's due to being a new place and trying to figure out how to get in the swing of things. I don't see me going back on my own however possibly invited with friends as I wouldn't turn down the social opportunity and if they get the swing of things and they are any better next time I'll gladly update to reflect this since...
