Universal at Mockingbird Lane — Local services in Johnson City

I have lived here for 1 year and I’m in the process of moving out and never ever looking back!! I have paid my September rent which is 1,315 a month n they have the Nerve to charge me 363 dollars because my lease was up on in September 23 so from the 23-30 they charged me a 363 fee bcuz they chose to make me month to month lease before I can make that decision myself and that’s not it since I chose month to month because I’m waiting to move out hopefully November 1st my rent for October went up to 1,580 because they also charged a month to month fee 230 extra dollars it’s a shame not to mention I paid almost 3 thousand to move in because I didn’t have a co signer n my credit not the greatest but living here is definitely not worth all the money they charge they know the housing market rate is high right now and instead of helping the economy they did just like any other complex they raise the rent! O and another problem don’t have any visitors because they would probably have to park at science hill they way parking is set up here there is none for visitors and the ones they do have college students take them all with their friends as if you and ur family don’t count and you only get 1 parking spot per unit so if u and ur spouse get off work only 1 person has somewhere to park one of you have to park a mile away after a long day at work n 1,315 dollar rent u gotta walk to get to your apartment. Staff at the office is nice but other than that I would never ever recommend nobody and I mean nobody...

Where do I even begin? Terrible! Do not move here if you can avoid it! Rent goes up about $100 a month every time you sign a new lease. When I first moved here it was $1,000 a month, it is now almost $1,500 a month. So many stupid rules. Management is a joke. They don’t clean ice off the sidewalks for people during the winter, but you better believe they clean it off at the clubhouse for management. Guess the residents safety just isn’t that important. There is always dog poop in the grass and all they ever do is send an email out saying to pick up after your dog. You’d think they would learn they need to do more than just end out an email to stop people from leaving their dogs poop. Just trying to save as much money as I can to buy a house and say goodbye to this terrible company and apartment complex. Have hated living here ever...

We had been in this apartment complex for 11months. The search for the apartment was quiet easy as it was under construction. We loved the location as it is close to The mall at Johnson City and other main offices. The surrounding's looked so neat and tidy. The staffs are appreciative for their help and support they provided during the stay. The amenities provided in the complex covered our necessities. We applied for another apartment to improve our living status, and the staffs were able to figure it out and within no time we could move to it. We feel more safe staying here.
