Shopped at BJ’s since the 80s and their first and second club in Johnston, Rhode Island, these days the service is terrible. There is always an extended weight. ALWAYS and extended weight. I’m doing them a favor? Since Costco opened up in Sharon, I have decreased my shopping. I look forward to canceling the BJ’s membership. They clearly don’t put the effort into caring the way that other membership clubs do.
It’s not that I haven’t had some good experiences. It’s just that over the past year and a half two years it has been a degrading experience not personally degrading, but the quality has been degraded. There’s not enough help and then it’s hard to miss the people don’t seem to be as happy as they do at the club like Costco where I can get through a register super quick even though there is five times the amount of customers BJ’s prices aren’t even good. The selection isn’t great and they haven’t put the effort and they haven’t shown and behaved like they have competition.
Additionally, only five years ago I purchased stock at Costco for under $200 a year now it’s 1000 BJ’s… It’s not even an enjoyable experience It’s the same old same old they don’t go through the effort I’ve demonstrating they care about customers to any significant degree and they certainly don’t behave like they have competition which will gobble them up and spit them out. If they don’t start behaving like customers matter to them I’m happy to go to Costco. they’re polite, helpful a very different experience and have been for the 20 years. I’ve had a membership there and traveled over an hour to the store at that time now that it’s closer to where I live I avoid BJ’s and to the day where I will no longer have to pay for any BJ’s membership because it’s just not...

I went and got a new tire only for the worker to make you feel like you were a bother when literally they were just sitting there doing nothing but on his phone. He fpund every excuse not to have to put the tire on so me nd my husband did it. Every day i have to add air to my tire! Only a week in.

I saw they had a premade cake already done that look professional done so i ask if they could just give me a small discpunt of $10.00 for the inconvience to be told no but they will make me the cake i order with just happy birthday nathan on it. I say well i guess i have no choice. They bring it out the cake was so uneven! And so childish. I ended up having to go with the other cake. For more money. The lady manger was so very rude! No sorry or care in the world! EVEN ONE OF THE BAKER SAYS THIS IS WHY SHE GETS HER CAKE FOR HER AND HER FAMILY AT MARKET BASKET BECAUSE THEY ARE HORRIBLE LOOKING! thid just show you.. i will never order a cake from there again. THANKS TO SANDRA AND BRITTANY AT STOP AND SHOP FOR MAKING MY SON DAY! ĂŚMAGINE A CUPCAKE WAS WAY BETTER AND CHEAPER. I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS BACK TO...
Read moreI have to agree that this is one of the worst BJ’s in the country. Prices are a higher than Stop & Shop or even Dave’s marketplace in Rhode Island. The staff doesn’t seem to care. I was ordering quite a few deli meats and the gentleman that was helping me was a little bit slow. I had an extensive order, and there was one other person behind the counter, Danielle, who didn’t seem to be doing anything. I asked if you could chip in and help her colleague.
There was no one else waiting at the counter to be served. She said she was too busy doing something else. And then a while later when she finished ,whatever she was supposedly doing, she should be prioritizing, helping people at the counter as number one.
she went immediately to help somebody that showed up at the counter 10 minutes later. She needs retraining. Also, arguing with the deli manager over placement of cheese is not cool. Do that in private.
I took a picture of where they put the chicken from the rotisserie. It doesn’t look like the juices have been cleaned quite a while. It was absolutely bear. I don’t think anyone else is making chicken.
The only reason for the two stars is because there was nobody at self checkout! The store was practically empty and only one cashier on duty so the only option was the self service. Considering the prices, the service, and the mostly bear shelves, I’m not surprised.
I’ll never renew...
