China Kitchen — Restaurant in Joliet

I'm going to start with I understand mistakes.

However... first I waited an hour and a half ... nothing ... called ... oh it's already on the way.... had 2 phone convos with a guy to explain where to meet me after I had already left instructions in my order... then (2 hours after placing my order) got the wrong order ....

I call back he says oh hold on I'll call you back. Calls me back to try and verify what was incorrect on the order I explain it 3-4 times and I suppose there was no understanding because he just says he will have someone else call me back.

Some guys calls back - I can't understand him and he puts a woman on the phone. She says - I tried to call you you didn't answer (incorrect as I had the phone in my hand the entire time waiting on a call but I didn't argue that it's stupid) she says a guy at the same location got my order and couldn't find me and asked to hold on so she could call him so we could swap. Mutes me .... comes back.... we will replace your order Bc they ate it ... did you eat yours yet .... "no but" cut off well just - I cut her off "but it's not edible for anyone else and how long do you think it will be because I ordered over 2 hours ago.

I understand it will be there asap. Ok.

Fiance says - I'm hungry they can't serve it to anyone else I'm just eating it Bc it was their mistake and no one else can eat it anyway. (I don't argue with babe it's his birthday)

Delivery guy gets here and tells him you have to return the other order ... he says I can't I ate it .... he says well let me call.... babe walks away with food.

I get that we got 2 meals technically. However, I feel justified in saying it was their mistake and we waited over 2 hours. Terrible experience . And the food was not even that good!! I'm from Missouri so maybe I just don't know the difference in Illinois Chinese foods but I was not impressed. Too much ketchup in the...

China Kitchen just completed their renovation & expansion.

Here is what they’re offering now.

Full service & seating for 140 diners. Full Bar. Four Very Large T.V.’s. Two public access washrooms. Private Party area. Absolutely Delicious food. Very Friendly Staff. Very Affordable. Very Large Portions. Brand New Furniture. High Quality Dishes & Utensils.

This Restaurant is absolutely great. Well worth the 40 minute drive.

This is our 1st Visit to Joliet China Kitchen. We placed an order over the phone. Here are the results:

The Beef w/gravy and chopped green onions over White rice was cooked damn near to perfection. Excellent. The Wonton Soup is nearly authentic looking & made fresh and is the best we've had in Joliet. We could still taste the soup 15 minutes after eating it... Great flavor that lasts! The Wonton's were big and very well put together. The Egg Rolls were cooked to perfection and are Excellent and fresh! The Service was Fast and courteous. Our order was ready at the stated time. They are not shy about inserting multiple napkins; a fork and spoon and several packets each of sweet & sour sauce & soy sauce. Fortune cookie was inserted and was also fresh. The lady that answered the phone was very knowledgeable; explained everything in detail and repeated our order to guarantee no mistakes.

I just moved here in the area and was searching for some good Chinese food. I asked my new neighbor and he recommended that there is a great place just around the corner. So i gave the place a shot and man, had i gave my neighbor a man hug if it wasn't weird! This place might seem small and the decor inside isn't like super modern but that goes to all little carry out restaurants that i had been to. Well to me the decor doesn't really matter as long as its clean and you don't see critters or anything running around... Anyways, what i am trying to say is people normally go there for the FOOD! I went there for a quick ease of my Chinese craving and I was blown away! I don't know what they put in their sauces for their General Tso Chicken but it was really flavorful and good. I also had their Beef Fried Rice which was rich in flavor as well. The Egg Roll was the best ones I have ever had! Well I take that back about the Egg Roll, it wasn't the best one I had but it was good enough to be one of the best ones.
