Utter disappointment! Water glasses already present on the table were streaked from what appeared to be a lack of rinse agent in the dishwasher. Some of the flatware had evidence of such as well. The floors under my table and those in the area had not been cleaned between diners. Took 20+ minutes to receive my order of "Sliders" ordered medium-rare and an order of onion rings. Each or the burgers came well-done and the onion rings had been dropped (deep fried) more than once as the coating was closer to being burnt that golden brown and the onion inside was... Tired. When the server asked me how everything was on her trip to the kitchen, I told her and showed her. She apologized and asked if I would like them to re-do the order? I told her I was not prepared to wait another 20-minutes. She walked away. A gentleman that was seated at the table next to mine halfway through my wait to have my food delivered turned and asked me how the food was? I showed him my order and asked him what he was getting? "They haven't even taken my order yet, they have three more minutes." He left after sitting there for what he told me was 10-minutes. I had to ask another waitress for my check. After settling the check. I took the container of onion rings and went to the front desk and requested to see the Food/Beverage Director. I was told the manager for Burger Theory wasn't in. I requested to see the General Manager. I was escorted to his office. He introduced himself as Dewany. I placed the container of onion rings on his desk and told him he had a serious problem in his dining room. He picked up the onion rings and looked them over. He apologized and then proceeded to tell me he had only been there two-weeks, that he was brought in the fix the problems. As I left I told him it would be a very long time before I would ever return.

My son and I were traveling to Michigan on our way from St Louis! We saw the blue highway sign that shouted the name “BURGER THEORY”. We are always up to try a new burger but what is this “Theory”?? 😁 On our way home from Michigan, we plugged Burger Theory Joliet, IL in on GPS and so glad we did!! Build your own burger….”What??” We both ordered a double, bacon, egg & cheese burger 🥓🥚🧀 🍔with fries 🍟 ! Let me tell you, they were amazing!! One of the BEST burgers we’ve ever had!! Ordered wings as an appetizer and they were awesome!! Sweet tea was on point too! We had to meet the burger chef! Tyrone came out and he was very thankful that we enjoyed it! We chatted for a bit and thanked our server(who is also the manager Gewan)! What a GREAT experience with INCREDIBLE food! Gewan told us that Burger Theory actually uses a 3 meat blend for their signature burgers! Different and VERY tasty!! If you’re in the Joliet area, give them a try!! They are in the Holiday Inn Joliet! We’ll done to the entire team! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered the Lonestar with a side salad, and the BT Boss with Onion rings. Both single patty and medium well. The BT Boss comes stuffed with sharp cheddar cheese, sauted onion, and bacon. Topped with Swiss lettuce and KGB sauce - which is basically a less tangy thousand island. The Lonestar comes Topped with cheddar cheese, an onion ring, thick cut bacon, and BBQ sauce. The burgers were good - but not great. They lacked the flavor profile we were expecting based on the menu description. For the BT Boss, the sharp cheddar did not seem sharp, the KGB sauce - while not thousand Island - I was expecting the tanginess, and did not get it. The bacon texture was more noticeable than the flavor. The onion rings were really good. The service, cleanliness, and decor were to excellent! Very friendly and attentive staff. My suggestion is to work on the flavor profile more, make the patties thicker, and you will have a well above average product. In the end everything was good, and when in the area I will visit again.

Food was great. Portions were a little on the small side for the price, but really good. The service kinda sucked though. The server said that the F&B manager quit right when they opened and it showed. They knew zero about the menu. I ordered a burger off their menu and it came with a huge lump of coleslaw on it. The cook came out and we had to show him on his own menu that it didn't go on the one we ordered. Then they acted like they were doing us a favor by fixing it like it was a special order. Lol he kept saying, they'd change it "just for me" We were over charged just a couple bucks, but i asked why. I was curious. The server couldn't tell us. She walked away to confer with the manager. Eventually ....we we're told that 1, the price of the beer went up since they opened a week ago! And 2, the other charge was an up charge for a side, but instead of just telling me that right when I asked, they refunded the two items came back to the table and treated us like we were the issue. It felt like they were just rushing us out. The manager didn't even talk to us, Im assuming because we had an issue, but stopped at all other tables to chat. I wasnt looking for a free meal. I've worked in Hospitality most of my life. I just asked why the prices & descriptions on the menu didn't match what we got and what we were charged. If the server had any knowledge of the menu she could have easily answered me. All & All the burgers are good but I...

Clean, nice-looking place. Not too loud (we were there on a Sunday afternoon). We were a large party (12--included adults, teens, and younger children) and they did great to accommodate us quickly. Food was delicious! Fries and onion rings were both great--fries were seasoned wonderfully and onion rings were crispy yet juicy. I had the slider trio. All were good, but if I had to choose one to get in full-size, it would be the Farm Fresh. The red peppers MADE that burger. I ordered my sliders cooked medium and when they arrived and I saw the size of them (normal size for sliders, I just don't get them often), I leaned over to my husband and said, "there's no way those are cooked medium". But they were cooked perfectly! Server was attentive, personable, and accurate. Only thing stopping this from being a 5-star review was that it took a long time to get the check. Between the last time our server refilled drinks, bringing dessert for the kids and birthday girl, and her coming back to check on things so we could ask for the check, probably 20-25 minutes elapsed. Everyone was done eating and just waiting around for her to show up again. It was not busy enough to justify the time. But once she came and we asked for the check, she split them correctly and brought them promptly. Will...
