McDonald's — Restaurant in Joliet

I made a purchase at the drive through. Part of my order was an Unsweetened Iced Tea. As I pulled away from the window I took a sip and learned that I was given a Coke. So I pulled into a spot and went inside.

The cashiers were extremely busy. So I went over to the sofa fountain and dumped out the pop. I rinsed the cup. I put some ice in the cup. I put iced tea in the cup. All under the scrutiny of lady with a cleaning cloth.

When I went to leave the lady said to me,"Next time you pay, ok?". I said I did pay, I was given the wrong drink. She said "No, you came from outside." I said "you're right, but I came from the drive through and was given the wrong drink." She said, "No, you are stealing." Mind you she watched me pour out an entire drink. She watched me clean the cup. She could have said something about this sooner. At this point I said, "I can get my receipt and show you, it's in my car." At this point she simply repeated, "Next time you pay."

Yes I walked out a little frustrated but said nothing more. I got in my car and when I looked back to back up out of my spot I see her standing at the door pointing at my car. At this point I put my car in park. Grabbed my bag with piping hot fries and hot hamburgers and a receipt and approached her. I said look I just bought this here is my receipt. I showed her my receipt but she refused to look at it saying "It's ok. it's ok."

What a joke. If McDonald's is so hard up for caah and worried about people stealing Iced Tea I think they'd just be better making sure people get the correct drink in the first place.

As for the lady saying, "Next time you pay." Dont worry, there won't be a next time. I'll hit up the Burger King up the road if get hungry...

Today, my boys and I went here to eat dinner. When we arrived there was a dirty diaper in one of the parking spaces. 🤢🤮 once inside, I noticed that it was clean.. although there was an open ketchup packet splattered right inftont of the cash register.. on the floor. We arrived at 6:40 pm, by the way. Having the two boys with me, of course, we went into the play area. I was impressed by the play place! It was really big! It kept them busy until roughly 8:15 pm. My phone was dying so I'm so happy that they had ouets that I could charge my phone. Looking around for a place to sit, I was skeptical because the tables were not clean, and I could tell from being at prior McDonald's that they had not come to wipe them down or sweep. Mind you that they do come and bring the food, which is a huge plus! Although with employees walking in and out bringing the food...I would think that they would have sent someone to clean up every 30 mins or even an hour, but it was well passed one hour. It's a kids' area, so i personally think that it's important to keep clean and wipe down along with the floors. My kids have to take off their shoes. The last thing I want is my kids getting their feet and socks dirty. Little kids are always coughing, hands in mouth, wiping their runny noses lol so yeah, it basically screamed GERMS 😱 🤣 but I will probably be back because...

Super slow service and it’s so hard to get someone to acknowledge you if you walk in.

I’ve gone through the drive through, ordered inside of the store, ordered delivery and even done delivery for this particular McDonalds and I will never go back for anything anymore. Each time I’ve tried to do business with this particular franchise I am met with a dismissive attitude by whoever is running the restaurant or I’m not addressed at all.

Also.. if you do food delivery I highly advise against coming to this store because they take forever and a day to get the orders ready. I had my son (1.5 years old) with me and no one ever asked me what I was there for the entire five minutes I waited. I had to stop the girl who was running around in the back, who saw me walk in and standing there multiple times mind you, to say I was there to pick up and I after I told her the order number she demanded to see the order on my phone as well, as if I was going to steal a McDonald’s meal.

The employees at this restaurant are either untrained on customer service or just unwilling to give it. But I won’t be coming here any longer. I tried to give them a chance and I could go on about more experiences I’ve had with this place but I’m just going to let my complaints be known to corporate because this...
