If you're wanting great sushi in Jonesboro, you go to Bamboo, no doubt. For hibachi? Probably not. For drinks? Definite yes. Me and my boyfriend have been going to Bamboo almost every week this past month, and there's a reason why. The sushi and the drinks are great, and so is the service, especially our regular waiter, Donovan. This review will be about our first visit, though. We ordered this incredible drink which I wish I remembered the name of, I think it had "Volcano" in the name, but not only was it sweet and fiery(literally), it packed a punch! I ordered the Sukiyaki Steak while my boyfriend ordered the Poke Bowl. We also ordered 3 different sushi a la cartes, one salmon, one eel, and an order of salmon roe. The sushi was PHENOMENAL, to say the least. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy, and anytime we eat out anywhere where seafood is on the menu, we have to be extremely careful. Typically, when we eat out for sushi, my boyfriend can feel his allergy flare up, but not here, which made us feel incredibly safe. And it was delicious because it tasted so fresh! Then came our entrees. My boyfriend's was delicious, as poke bowls typically are. Mine... was lackluster. The meat itself felt a little touch to chew but not too much, but the most disappointing thing was that some of it was cold. Most of it was warm to eat, but by the end of the meal it had all cooled down. So that was a little saddening, but not enough to make us stop coming back, because we have been! They have a great selection of Japanese beers, my personal favorite being Sapporo, for cheap! And the sushi is always a great snack to pair it with....

I visit this place very frequently and I must say it is the best hibachi/sushi restaurant in the area...by far. They remodeled the place several years ago so you do not get the experience of a cook preparing your meal in front of you but the food is outstanding and that is all that matters. They have a full bar as well to serve patrons during their visit. The setting is beautiful and they have leveled dining so you can eat upstairs or downstairs.

I visit for lunch most of the time and usually get the maki lunch. Their sushi rolls are much bigger than any other sushi place in town and the taste is phenomenal, very fresh. The price for their sushi is also very reasonable too. I've also had their poke bowls and hibachi and they are excellent choices if sushi is not your typical fare. They also do boiled seafood now but I have not had the chance to try it out yet.

Overall this is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner and if you have not tried it I would suggest...

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I went last night and we were extremely happy. The clear soup is a great appetizer! It's very flavorful and the mushrooms and chives are a nice touch! My boyfriend got the steak and shrimp combo dinner, asked for no carrots or zuchinis, and not a shred of either, even though the grilled vegetables came premixed. He also asked for the steak bites to be medium rare, and they came out perfect! I got the Kobe Beef sushi roll, and it was delicious! The steak strips were a perfect rare, just a hint of red on each one and not tough at all! And the server! Donavine was incredible- he was respectful, helpful, and friendly! We...
