Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Jonesboro

The only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is b/c the fried fish is always good no matter which LJS you go to! I hadn't been to one in years and was excited when i saw it so i stopped. I started in the drive thru. They serve different rice bowls now, bring unfamiliar, I asked what came on it and was told "shrimp&rice". Clearly from the menu pic it's more than that such I mentioned and was met with attitude. Afraid they'd mishandle my food if I continued, I parked and walked in. After waiting in line for a bit, I asked the same question and was given essentially the same answer with a few not fillers. Needless to say, I opted out. I went with the grilled salmon&shrimp over rice, corn&fries for side, added a pc of fish and clams. The rice was soggy, like literally I could mash water out of it, the salmon was tiny, the shrimp were tinier and overcooked. Corn was fine. Clams were fine. Fish and chips were perfect. Fries were cold and unsalted. I had to ask for the sauces several times. The cashier was either in training or simply didn't know how to do anything and came off as she was irritated and didn't care to be there, such in turn further frustrated the older lady who was working the drive thru and appeared to be the manager. This is not the same chain it was a few years ago, or this location is an exception. Normally I love myself some fish and chips. But this time, this time was very different. Either the fryer oil was not hot enough when they started cooking or they poured extra oil on the food after it was cooked. Seriously could have made some chicken wings with what was in my container after having one piece of fish. I've not had this experience at any other location of this chain. But if I do at another location, I'm never returning. Yes, it was that bad. Such a shame as I was so looking forward to what I remembered was LJS being. Only to be let down into a luke warm fryer and saturated with oil that didn't escape after being cooked. Massive let down, like seeing your paycheck after taxes are taken out. Like going to a hotel with an "Olympic sized pool" only to find a kiddie wading pool. Like finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground only to realize it was one of those fake half bill with some kind of irrelevant "message" on...

Edit Ok I still like it but the price you pay for a little bit of food isn't worth the price. $40 for 12 pieces of chicken and 3 sides not worth it. It would be cheaper to go and get Chinese and have more food.

I'm a big fan of Long John Silver's and have been since I was little. The food tasted good and stayed hot until I got home (about 5 or 10 minute drive). And the staff is nice and friendly here. My biggest gripe is their parking lot and drive thru. The lot has many holes and some very big and deep ones. The other Part is the drive thru lane is not marked well and while pulling out this last trip I thought I had passed the end but there was more and so I ran up on the curb and messed up my wheel. So my $20 trip for a favorite food is now going to be 100 to 200 more because I have to fix my wheel. I will might still come back as I love to food but please fix your lot as it's the same as the inside of the store and reflects poorly on the quality of the...
