TL;DR: It's a simpler mexican cuisine that lacks a lot of the heat and spice of others.

We stopped in for lunch and regretted it. The food is not "bad" but compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. The salsa is very simple (served with thick chips), and the food targets a simpler palette.

I had the Enchilada Dinner with chicken/queso and rice instead of beans. It comes with pickled jalapeños. While bland overall it reminded me a lot of taquitos.

My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla. She didn't care for it. It reminded us a lot of BBQ chicken. My only explanation for this is that some of the milder spices used in Mexican cuisine might taste like this if you remove the peppers that add heat. That said, Mexican cuisine is varied and I'm not an expert.

Service was ok. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to get our check, but otherwise it was decent.

I did notice that the clientele was significantly older and less varied that I usually see, so this might be an excellent place to take someone over 50 for lunch (although my friends in that age range...

Under normal circumstances, I'd give TaMolly's a 3-4 because I'm all about big, bold flavors, and that's not really their strength. However, they do consistently deliver well on what they specialize in, which is TexMex. Nothing too spicy. Nothing on the edge. Just consistent Americanized TexMex. Cheese on just about everything. You get the idea.

But the circumstance is that my youngest is a celiac and this may be the most gluten friendly place in Jonesboro. The staff is superb and their attention to detail and knowledge of the do's and don'ts is second to none. So, food: 3.5, Service: 5, Gluten Conscious:...

Decided to visit this establishment after reading several reviews in a FB group. We went during lunch and it was not even at 30% capacity. Our waiter was not attentive at all and rushed the entire process. We did not get refills. We were not “checked on” unless we waved him down to inquire about something regarding the food. The “ground beef” was sweet 🤮. The fajita meat was dried out. Refried beans with cheddar cheese was different and not desirable. We ordered queso that never came, even after a reminder. The 3 stars are for the margaritas. I...

The last time i ordered "chicken fajita nachos" it was fajita chicken on chips with white cheese dip..it was very good.. I ordered the same thing tonight..but got pick-up at the drive through and I paid $12 for what literally looks like 2 broken in half taco shells with chicken and shredded cheese. TOTALLY DIFFERENT from last time. I could make better at home. I think I'll stick with Casa Maya.. my order is always the same there.
