I debated giving the Recovery Room 4 stars due to their pricing, but I changed my mind. Their coffee is delightful, as is their service. Lacey (possibly spelled incorrectly) was knowledgeable about the menu and coffee. I enjoyed speaking with her. I have so far visited twice, and the first time I was disappointed due to asking for a scone and mid-size cappuccino. I received a small (think of the Starbucks 'tall') and the scone was overwhelmed with chocolate chips, so when I heated it at home it completely fell apart. Today when I went back for a second try, Lacey explained that they usually put the americano and cappuccino in the smaller cup because they have less or no milk. The mocha I bought today was much larger due to me asking for more half/half. Pricing for coffee is not listed on the menu, but the past two times I have visited it has been pricier for Jonesboro. Competitively, you could probably visit Starbucks or one of the various other coffee shops and get the same drink for a couple dollars cheaper, although the quality would be severely different. Alternatively, if this shop was placed in a larger city, I think it would come across as a pleasant surprise that such high quality coffee is so inexpensive. To each their own.
I think my issues with the scone was from me being a baker because my boyfriend thought it was wonderful.
TLDR: I will more than likely return for the delicious coffee and to try the pastries, but the pricing will probably hinder me from visiting as often as...
Read moreI took my husband here as a surprise and it was so silly!! An older lady behind the counter told us she was the manager and that they have pot roast and walked away. It was our first time there so it was naturally awkward. Do we order at the counter? Seat ourselves? Stood at the counter for awhile pondering what all they serve..The manager came back and answered our questions as if we were wasting her time (doesn't she want us to eat/drink here?) We asked for menus and the food looked great. She told us again that they have pot roast. So we sat at a table. Choose what we wanted to order and waited patiently. No drinks came, not even water. We watched other customers come in that were greeted with menus and seated right away (hmmm, what's going on here?) The manager walked over the man at the table next to us and told him about the pot roast. We heard her tell everyone about the pot roast. I looked at my husband, and we couldn't wait any longer (we came here to eat) it was already such a disappoint..so we got up and left. I'm sure the food is great here but the customer service especially coming from a manager...
Read moreI really wanted to give a 5 star as the place was so cute. I was excited to call in my husband's order, pancakes with fruit and 2 eggs and a fuit smoothy. My husband is owner of a concrete company and he has been yo working since 2 a.m. I took him at 8 to a doctors appointment for blood test, so he couldn't eat anything before then. He was starving by 8, so while he went in, I called his order and picked it up.didnt wait long as there was only a couple and gentlemen there. I guess I should of opened up everything to make sure it was all there, but as a past waitres, i know i have to make sure everything is there before i hand it out. His fruit wasn't there nor any syrup đĨēâšī¸. He's in a strict diet, so when I saw the menu here, I thought it was perfect. Food was good, but had no syrup for pancakes or fruit. He was still hungry, but he had to go back to work, so I couldn't go back to get the fruit or syrup. I will be back though because it wasn't a bad experience, it just missed a bit for it to be perfect. Bartender...
