I ordered a Supersonic Double Bacon cheeseburger no tomato XTRA mayo and a large fry through the stall I was parked at today. After a bit of a wait they brought my food and upon opening I noticed Ketchup coming out of every possible spot all around the burger (ketchup does not come on the burger I ordered only mayo does), also noticeable was tomatoes hanging out of both sides of the burger and no bacon. I didn’t quite understand how they got it wrong because he read my order back to me after I placed it and said it correctly but either way, it was done. Typically I just eat it and move on without saying anything but I have a small tomato allergy and couldn’t so I alerted them and as kindly and apologetically as possible let them know the error. Seemingly a little frustrated the worker promised to make the correct burger and bring it right out. About 5 mins later a young man came out with a baggie which presumably contained my new burger. As he approached the car I stated “I actually didn’t even see bacon on it either so I think maybe I got someone else’s……” he cut me off and asked “there is supposed to be bacon on this?” It was then that I realized that now, twice, they made the regular supersonic double cheeseburger, however with this second one they apparently didn’t put tomato and ADDED a lot of mayo. I never got to see it however because upon realizing the mistake AGAIN he stopped and said “I’ll be right back”. So I waited another 7-10 minutes and finally he brings my burger. Now, the incorrect burger I had sitting on my dash with the foil opened and burger in view. I figured I’d just give it to my son when I got home as that’s where I was headed. After handing me the burger he says “want to swap me out” and indicated with his finger he wanted the 1st burger back. Knowing they now had to trash that perfectly good disgusting tomato and ketchup filled burger, I chuckled and no doubt sounding a bit confused asked “are you serious? I was just going to give it to my son” he stated that it was their policy to retrieve the other burger to dissuade people from trying to get free food. As I handed him the burger I protested just a little letting him know I’ve had to wait while 3 times they had to re make my food and that I knew they had to throw it in the trash anyways. Reluctantly he handed it back and explained that the “homeless people” will often run this “scheme” to get free food so it is their policy to retrieve the incorrect food. Ultimately he let me take it and explained he believes I wasn’t trying to do this and I understand he was just doing his job so it’s nothing on him either but what an awful, greedy policy. Great Customer service as it is is nearly extinct. These companies want to charge top dollar but provide bottom shelf, give you medium amount of stale fries in the LARGE container you ordered that have been sitting under the light for an hour or longer, countless other things I can mention we all know about and nowadays they ALL want tips and are trained on making you feel uncomfortable enough to give or guilting you by their kindness for not. This policy is a spot in the face to customers and homeless people. I get it you cannot just allow it, but to go to the extreme of preferring to throw away perfectly fine food rather than a homeless person getting a free meal is insane. Also, it’s just bad customer service. Just allowing the customer to drive off with bother is great customer service because it apologetically admits they were wrong AND kind of provides a lil something for the time the customer had to wait while they got it right which shows the customer you understand their time is valuable and that you appreciate them choosing you and being patient while you get the order right. I cannot think of a single positive reason for this “policy” to exist that displays anything other than...

I have been in restaurant business for a few years about 10 and I always did suggestive selling like if someone wanted a value meal a combo meal I would say will that be a large or offer a cookie. Austin was great then we have Trevor who was real eager to please the customer he got right on the ball he did what he was supposed to do he answered my question a great employee both of them are Austin and Trevor I would suggest that you give them a raise because they were ready to make the customers visit there a 100% satisfactory and the smiles was awesome they could teach the other employees there how to really treat your customers and the way that you make money is to suggestive sale a product on every order someone wants a french fry ask him what they like a fresh ice cold glass of tea. So give Austin a raise give Trevor a raise and tell them they are 100% in my book thank you. I appreciate it and I was impressed .
