I love Wendy's I especially love their new bourbon bacon burger especially with the pretzel bun and extra sauce.I usually go to the one on 7th and maiden but today I went to the one on rangeline and I couldn't even get my order in because they simply did not understand what I was saying or they didn't listen they were just rushing but it took 4 minutes for them to even get close to what I wanted with such a simple one item order that at any other location takes about 30 seconds no questions asked they have it now I understand training new people but I know for a fact that team leads or managers or supervisors have headsets on so someone could have helped the person out at the window to understand anyway I go inside to order in person so I can make it more understandable and there's just four employees at the front counter trying to figure out whose orders is who and who got the salad for about 3 minutes they're just pointing at all these trays and they have no idea who actually got who and I'm pretty sure their management was the one cooking on the line so there didn't seem to be anyone of actual experience there to lead them I usually don't write reviews almost never so I'm trying to make this one semi detailed because I actually really enjoy Wendy's and based off these other reviews it's the same problem just having really bad Stars off review versus star grade but more training is definitely necessary at the store not just for management but for supervisors or team leads or whatever Wendy's does you guys have the better food options and burgers out of the other fast food options just need better service or at least fast food service doesn't need to be five stars but come on you guys make the McDonald's people look good this store anyway I don't know if your big corporate will look at this or anything but I love the new burgers new options just train your employees most of them are just kids so they should know how to do the button pushing just teach them how to listen and work together. Read moreI usually don’t harshly criticize fast food restaurants in Joplin, but I think the dealings of this restaurant warrant it. Without fail, every time I go through the drive through to order, the line is backed up around the building. After waiting in line to order, I am always greeted by some stressed out employee trying to take my order in a rushed fashion, all the while two or three employees are outside smoking. After ordering, you are in line a minimum of another 20 minutes before you receive cold, ill prepared, and rushed food. I understand that fast food joints have, “off days”, but every time I go to Wendy’s on Rangeline Road, it’s an off day. I have even had employees apologize to me for the wait, referencing that their owner doesn’t hire enough people to work shifts to appropriately handle the volume of customers that this restaurant encounters on a daily basis. This restaurant clearly has an ownership and management problem. This is the only Wendy’s on the east side of Joplin, and it is not managed in an effective way that can handle the day to day volume of customers. Read moreThis is our usual stop on Thursday evening when we go to Joplin before we take our kids to judo classes at Christ's Community United Methodist Church. We rarely eat anywhere else. Its fast and convenient and the food is always great. Wendy's is probably one of the very best fast food restaurant's on range line. UPDATE As of October 3rd 2019 I doubt we go back to eat at this Wendy's. They used to be great but this was the second time they completely messed up our to go order, knowing we were not going to be able to come back. The young man working the counter at 5:15 that afternoon was the only worker that was trying to do his job, and trying to make the customers happy. He was alone at the front counter and the drive thru, while everyone else was busy yelling and walking around in the back. I saw several employees that could have come to help him. There was a line of customers behind me. Several others were complaining that their orders were wrong up at the pick up area also. I wish I had checked all of ours before we left, I had to go in to get my fries that they forgot as it was then we got to where we were going to eat and my entire families order was wrong, again.
