My partner and I are passing through Joshua Texas and needed a place to eat. We chose Becky's because it was open and most of the other Mexican restaurants were closing as we were deciding to go out and eat. This place seems more like a diner in a Tex-Mex fashion. There are booths that look like diner style booths with minimal decorations on the walls. It is attached to New Mexican bakery which you can access by walking through the restaurant or going to a door on the side of the restaurant. I cannot say that this is a very clean looking place. The bathroom was disgusting. As for the food... They give you colorful chips and a nice leaf flavored salsa to begin with. Their queso is a yellow and thick cheese queso which might have come out of a can but it did have the flavor. What the queso lacked they made up for with the food. We ordered the steak ranchero and a steak quesadilla. The steak was perfectly marinated and tender and juicy. Everything on the plate had just the right amount of flavor and made the mouth happy upon eating.

I just ate here and let me tell you it was most delicious! It's advertised," No Fast Food, Fresh Homemade Cooking." And it most definitely was. I met the cook and told him everything tasted great and to keep up the good work. The staff is very welcoming, nice, polite, and making sure ur needs are met during ur dine in visit, oh i forgot to mention, prices are very reasonable and affordable( 17 and change not including the tip); was well worth the dine in this evening. If ur looking for real authentic Mexican tex mex food, come here, bring the family, it will be well worth it with satisfying tummies afterwards!

So, I have never been to Becky's before and decided to give them a try and I am so happy that I did! What they lack in dining-room appeal, it is made up by the delicious flavors and the extra care in prepairing their delicious food. I had the Shrimp Tacos and the Chile-Relleno with beef. The chips and salsa was also very good and fresh. I will definately be going back and telling my friends about how good the food was. Great Job!

I hate to have to do this. We went there for lunch today. Most of the food of the $140 I spent was left at the table. I don’t know what happened to this place. I feel robbed! You order at the register and they bring you the burnt food with powder cheese inedible Sauce on the food. The prices are ridiculous and the portion is small. It was lunch time and no one else was there. My instinct said to leave but since we had 7 adults and 1 child already in there, we stayed. I wish I would have taken photos. I ordered a child plate for myself which was a taco and beans and rice and there was maybe a teaspoon of met in the taco. I spoke to the owner when I walked in because I wanted to know if there were new owners. He said no. But they don’t give you a menu anymore and we were charged for 2 extra drinks that we didn’t order. If you are going to have a restaurant then do it right! The first time I came here was 2 years ago and it was amazing. They only serve Mexican want a be food that is nothing more than GMO and bio engineered food. I will never be back and I would want a refund of my money. Steer clear of this place unless you want food poisoning from the chemicals. The Pastor pork meat was burnt and inedible. There was no one there to complain to. A young teenager works the register and takes the orders and one person in the back doing God...

I'm sad that we didn't visit here sooner. Super yummy food, amazing staff (and that's really saying something with the current employment struggles), and friendly, bright atmosphere (I enjoyed the Christian music). It's a hidden hometown restaurant treasure.

We had the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas, as well as the taco salad. The fajitas were BIG on flavor, although the portion size could be a bit more generous. Both the fajitas and taco salad came with a large dollop of fresh guac, which was much enjoyed. The pico was fresh, too! My favorite side was the refried black beans – yum! Salsa also gets a high five from us. Oh, and the tortillas also caught our attention as much better than ordinary.

For the portion size, I wish the price point was a little lower, but all in all, I'd much rather support a small local restaurant than a lower priced chain any day! We will definitely be...
