Lewis Steak House in Jupiter FL.. a tomahawk 28 oz cooked to perfection
Scott ReelingScott Reeling
Lewis Steakhouse had been recommended to me several times as a “must-try” if I ever got the chance — last night, I finally did. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was absolutely top-notch. Our server, Carlos, set the tone immediately — attentive, personable, and professional. He has a gift for creating that rare feeling of, “I’m here to make your evening great and relaxing.” It’s a level of service you don’t often see anymore. The restaurant itself captures that classic steakhouse feel — dark, moody, and elegant, with an atmosphere that nods to the old-school steakhouses of the past. The cuts are presented tableside, which is a thoughtful touch you just don’t see very often anymore. And unlike so many places today that seem eager to turn tables, Lewis moves at a deliberate, relaxing pace that invites you to settle in and enjoy the evening. I ordered a smoked Old Fashioned, which was spectacular, followed by the bone-in ribeye, cooked medium-rare with a perfect char. It arrived pre-cut and presented beautifully on a wooden board. The Brussels sprouts were another standout — tender, flavorful, and covered in a smoky cheese sauce with crisp chunks of bacon. It’s not a cheap meal, but it’s worth every dollar. The true mark of a great restaurant is when you know it’s expensive — but you never once feel like you overpaid. Lewis Steakhouse achieves that effortlessly. If you can afford it, go and enjoy. If you can’t, save up and make it a special night with someone important. Lewis Steakhouse isn’t just dinner — it’s an experience worth having.

Our Birthday Celebration was golden at Lewis Steakhouse. It is a true Steakhouse, so be ready to have your taste buds satisfied beyond words. Our party ordered the Tomahawk, Porterhouse, and Delmonico steaks with Fries, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Asparagus, and a Lobster Tail followed by dessert. Our server, Carlos, was charismatic and informative. He educated us on the cuts and history of each steak. He did not just ask how we would like our steaks prepared, he asked how much char we wanted and each steak came out exactly as requested. The sides were also amazing. The presentation of the Porterhouse, Tomahawk, and desserts was remarkable. Only lower than highest grade review, would be for the Delmonico being served solely on the plate with no garnishing. I would have presented it with some greens, even though it is of lower price. Never underestimate the Delmonico. It is tender and is packed with flavor. The ambience paired equally well. Plenty of space on the table, the decor was clean and inviting, the lighting was perfect for the venue. Highly suggest you go experience Lewis Steakhouse. Ask for Carlos!

Just went for Happy Hour. Had a similar experience as another review. Looked full and the hostess said it's full. But there was actually a seat at the bar and at that point she didn't know I was going to be a +1 so I could have very well just been seated. The patrons next to the empty seat said we are paying our bill and these two seats will be available very soon. At no point did the hostess say, "Let me see what we might do". I sat and two minutes later the helpful patrons left and now my companion who was due to arrive any moment had a seat. The bartenders were wonderful. In spite of having a packed bar they were very attentive. My drink however was awful. One thing I enjoyed about Okeechobee Steakhouse was they always had individual bottles of Schweppes tonic. Wonderful flavor and always effervescent as it is a newly opened bottle. They had some can of "high end" tonic that totally ruined my gin and tonic. I have tried these "new" tonics before. They cost more but are truly horrendous. Only thing worse is the tonic from the soda machine. Tried a rum and Coke for my next choice. The Coke was flat. Tried the hamburger slider, steak slider and Poutine fries. The hamburger was tough, grisly and flavorless. Or the flavor was hidden by the awful sauce. The steak slider was decent. The Poutine fries were a mess. I had the forethought to ask for the sauce on the side. So glad I did. It had no flavor and would have made the soggy fries even soggier. How about the potato skins that are served at Okeechobee? Didn't have a dinner this evening. Would have been shocked as unlike Okeechobee a salad is not served with the steak. What? The least expensive steak is $57 and you have to pay extra for a salad. Don't think I will be back anytime soon. At least not until I confirm they get rid of that...

We had been looking forward to dinner for our 30th anniversary dinner. We had reservations and arrived on time. We “checked in” and were told we would be seated as soon as hostess came back. Apparently there was no communication between whom ever (The manager) greeted us. After seating another guest without reservations the hostess returned to address us. She was surprised we had already checked in and had reservations. We were sat quickly. Right next to the extremely noisy kitchen. We didn’t notice that we had been sat so close until we noticed the plates banging and the glasses clanking and the silverware crashing. The kitchen noise was underwhelmed by the noise of the entire restaurant. The server quickly arrived to quickly review the drink menu. He grabbed our drink order. We ordered a glass of wine and a cocktail. He was very quick to see if we were going to order an appetizer. We of course did order an appetizer. It arrived. Immediately. Shortly after our server was ready to ask for our dinner order. After very quickly giving us the presentation of Prime steak options. We placed our order. Our appetizer arrived we enjoyed it. Our plates were quickly cleared including all our flatware. When our server arrived with our salad instead of a properly placing a replacement of flatware he threw the “setup” across the table. It did not get any better. I felt rushed. And to end this exceptional evening. With the bill I was told I can join the “REWARDS PROGRAM “. The steak was great but the staff was HORRIBLE!!! It is extremely unfortunate. I know staffing is an issue. My children are in the industry. I grew up eating in upscale restaurants my entire life. To say I was disappointed is an...
