Excellent food, very expensive, everything is fine as long as you don't have a problem, then the attitude is awful. Wow. I could not believe what happened. All was going great, then my husband asked for a 1/2 glass of wine as it was his 3rd and when he realized he was charged for a full glass, he merely asked for the other 1/2 glass. The wife came out with an empty carafe saying she poured a full glass, the husband came out of the kitchen, yelling and pointing his finger at us and accused us of stealing their wine! ...swearing my husband got a full glass of wine...all this drama for 3 ozs. of wine!!! OMG, how petty can you be??? BTW the wife did not pour the 1/2 glass, the bus boy did. When we told her that she said she poured it and it was a full carafe. Wow. Now we weren't only thieves, we were liars too!! Unbelievable to talk to a customer like that. 1 inch in the glass would have been all they needed to do. We just spent $325 before tax and tip!!!. What a horrible experience. We said fine, keep your wine. You lost a customer for 1 inch of wine, we will not be back. The husband yelled "don't come back!". Do you think they had a bad day??? My husband and I eat out all the time. We are not afraid of good restaurants and are willing to spend money for a good dinner and good wine. He is also a generous tipper. But this experience was just not worth the trouble. There are too many good restaurants who treat us well, and want our business for us to ever...
Read moreYes it's small, yes it's in an industrial area and yes the food is beyond outstanding. I don't know enough adjectives to describe to quality, service and the special touch in the kitchen.
We shared a Bruschetta; topped with red and yellow tomatoes and each ingredient stood out with a bright, fresh taste. The dining partner ordered Veal Marsala, a traditional dish prepared to perfection. It was delicious.
My entree was from a specials board and stole the show. A double cut pork chop, grilled a bit to give it character and served with onions, wonderful mushrooms, and halved cherry peppers. The mildly hot peppers and the vinegar they were pickled in added a wonderful flavor to the tender white pork. Perfectly trimmed, not a morsel was left.
All entrees include a salad, served crispy and cold and a choice of pasta. The homemade Pappardelle with a classic Bolognese sauce was just a bit of heaven.
Our main server was Victor but everyone here gets involved to make your night a pleasure. This is wonderful food, prepared simply. Everything that comes from the kitchen is created with caring and skill. You could not ask for more.
They do serve wine and beer, along with choices of homemade desserts.
Check out my pictures and you will see the perfection the...
Read moreThey charge for BREAD! $9 !! And they claim it's some sort of "special" garlic bread. It was good, but it's BREAD....you know ...what no restaurant charges for. We were late for our reservation by 8 or nine minutes and whoa...you would've thought the world was coming to an end. Apparently this place, because they have so few tables, books every single one and then expects people to cater to THEIR rushed timeline. We felt VERY rushed and we were told that our pace would have to pick up as soon as we sat down! Some woman's cell phone going off every two minutes five feet from my ear was extremely annoying as well.. Fellow diner? Why no, it belonged to the rude manager who told us we'd have to "pick up the pace".! What really made me shake my head was the entrees are around 35-50 each.. all for a place that looks like you'd bring your TV in to get it repaired. ! They obviously get locals and snowbirds who love their food and have nothing else better to do with their money so I'm sure they do well. But for what they charge and how they treat people they sure don't deserve any new customers. Major MAJOR...
