Okay, so we all know that no matter how much food you order from a Chinese restaurant they'll always say it'll be done in 15 minutes right? This was probably the first place I've been to that said that, and then gave me my food in about half that time. This is also the first Americanized Chinese place I've been to that had a full service sushi bar, and had people that actually bothered to eat inside the restaurant. In fact I was asked if I planned on eating inside the restaurant.
So the service is good and obviously a few people trust it and the environment is pretty normal for a Chinese restaurant.. Food though. Food was good as well for sure. I ordered the General Tso's chicken (came with egg fried rice and an egg roll) for $7.95. Came in one of those large Styrofoam take out boxes and they just filled the whole thing up. Same price as a McDonald's meal, just like triple the quantity. The chicken had just enough spice to keep things interesting, and was very evenly fried (no hard or soft spots/overcooking/undercooking) and rice was done the same. I will say egg fried rice just seemed like brown rice with that egg fried/"dirty rice" flavor, no other additives... Though that may be the point so I'm not going to criticise it much. Egg roll is a real good size (my pet peeve honestly) and full of regular egg roll ingredients.
I would say ALL IN ALL: Good place. Food was good, it was "regular" or "bland" enough to where everyone would have a fair chance at liking it. Quantity vs price was stellar. It was not bad by any means and as I said the service was great. It may not be the best place if you're looking for a trip to flavortown, but it for sure delivers to the price point on all...
Read moreOkay food. TERRIBLE customer service! I ordered food for delivery to my office with a co-worker. I ordered sushi and she ordered crab ragoon and chix lo mein with no vegetables. We ordered online from there website just before noon. Our food didn't get here until 130pm. Once here, we realized that they put veggies in the lo mein, completely forgot the order of crab ragoon, and didn't include any silverware, napkins or chopsticks! I immediately contacted the driver who told me that he would let his manager know. I got a phone call from Will (supposedly a store manager but didn't display even the basics of decent customer service). He never apologized but proceeded to say that they do not give refunds and that they could have the order sent out within the next 25mins or they could give store credit. I paid with my card and I commute to work from GR so a credit would be useless since I don't plan on ordering from here again and I'm not local. I then explained that we were already on lunch and would be out of time before the corrected food was delivered. He said that was all he could do. When I went to speak with my coworker (since it was her food that was all whacked) she said that it would be fine, she would just save the food for dinner. I then asked if they could at least add a few pieces of crab ragoon (so that she could eat some now to hold her over and then have some for dinner). He said that he could only send what we ordered. Then said that he could void what they messed up. WTH?? I thought you couldn't do refunds?? I was starting to get upset and settled to just have the food sent. Will not be eating here again and would suggest they hire more competent...
Read moreVery dissatisfied and disappointed in this business. I order and paid for food and did not get my entire order. I called about it right away and they apologized. The employee stated they would credit my account so that next time I order, I could use it. A month later I call to order and inquire about my credit and they told me it does not exist. Talked to the manager and he first said because it was a month ago the credit was no longer there because it only last a week. At no point did the employee tell us the credit only last a week and I shared that info with the manager. Then he changed his story and said well if the employee put it there it should still be there, maybe the employee forgot to put in the credit, and then he implies somehow its me as the customers fault. He offered no solution and all he said was "I understand and there's nothing I can do about it". As a manager he does have the power to do something about it and chose not to he said he was okay with losing my business rather than accommodate a small credit. He didn't even inquire how much the credit was, it didn't matter to him whether it was small(as it was) or large. He offered absolutely nothing to resolve the issue, nor did he apologize for anything. He displayed no care or concern for good customer service. Next call is...
