Here's the review: Walked over to grab a bite after a semi-stressful day of events. The staff were friendly and seated me and my shopping bags together for dinner.

I ordered the fried calamari with the garlic aioli sauce and the summer salad with chicken. I enjoyed a tall glass of water and a 6 oz glass of chardonnay just take the edge off from the day. I posted the photos for your drooling pleasure.

First I have to say the garlic I always saw was super good I asked for extra and she gave me like a double size more than I already had and it was just the perfect amount for the large amount of fried calamari you'll get. If you're having this as part of your meal it's going to be a huge Bowl that's perfect for sharing with three or even four people.

As you'll see from the pictures the salad I ordered was also really large and I had to take my time finishing it because I got super full. The salad dressing that came with it was really well balanced not to acidic. I enjoyed the soft creamy cheese, the sweet strawberries, the crunchy pecans, the bite from the red onion, and the soft crunch from mixed greens.

My waitress B was really nice I can't remember the rest of her name but I remember she had on the necklace with the letter b and her name started with a B. She was very accommodating and helped me decide on which summer salad would be the best option since I was super hungry and had a high energy day especially while it's hot outside. I took it pretty nice way cuz she was worth it so remember to tip your staff.

Our experience was amazing! It was our first time at this restaurant and we immediately loved the vibe. We chose to sit outside and were glad we did. The weather was perfect, and once we were outside we noticed that there was Bocci Ball, a pickle ball court, Cornhole bag game, and there were 2 Tiki Toss Ring games. Inside the restaurant we found that they also have 2 golf simulator bays with bar stool seating so you can play and eat/drink while using the bay. I chose the grilled salmon. It came with ancient grains rice blend, a house salad and another side. I chose grilled asparagus. When my entree arrived it also had a grilled lemon as garnish. Without a doubt it was one of the best meals I've had, especially for grilled salmon! My husband ordered the fried shrimp (Lieutenant Dan's Platter) with house salad and steamed veggies. My son ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. Both were amazing as well. The chicken salad in particular was so big that my 26 year old son couldn't eat it all. We've already decided that we're coming back to eat here before we leave KC and head back home to Western Iowa!

Also, our server, Chance, was superb. He told us he was in his first month of working at the restaurant, however had her not told us that we wouldn't have known that he was a novice. He was very attentive, came to check on us several times, and was just a real pleasure to work with. We happily gave him a higher percentage tip than we normally do because he was so good!!!

Our small family became big time fans tonight! Great job, 54th Street Restaurant...

I really wish I could give them zero stars. I'm saddened that my family and I will no longer be coming here due to their poor customer service. We had a family of 8 and we are all by no means small people. My wife walked in to let them know how many we had and was given options and times for each arrangement of tables. My wife decided on 2 tables pushed together because she knew our family would fit comfortably that way. Our wait time would be about an hour and a half which we completely understood. We get a text 45 mins later saying we were ready to be seated. We were sat at a booth style table that clearly would not fit all of us. We went to go speak with the hostess and she informs us that if we want a different arrangement we would be put back on the waitlist for another hour and a half. We were upset because they gave us a table my wife did not want. The hostess argued with us and pointed my wife out in front of a crowd and stated that she did choose that table. We know for a fact my wife did not choose that table. I think there was a misunderstanding but the hostess was very rude and humiliated my wife. Had we been told that maybe there was a misunderstanding I wouldn't have had an issue. Good customer service is working with your customer and trying to resolve an issue. Poor customer service is humiliating your customer and passing them along. Our family gladly ate elsewhere. This place definitely does not know how to accommodate bigger parties. I really hope they learn to do better and that the hostess learns to work with...
