Big Shots Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kansas City

The drinks are great. Most of the staff are not, won't even ask if I want anything after the first order, not even if I put my empty shot glass on the front of the counter. I was there tonight and this lady bartender payed attention to all the men but not me. I just don't understand this. Then she obviously purposefully bumped into my chair. I swear I was quiet and nice the whole time, the only thing I did was ask for multiple drinks at a time (since I've been here before and waited for a long time while the bartenders did almost nothing last few times visited). I was just being a customer asking her to do her job. When I paid she swiped the receipt away from me. Meanwhile I'm just unwinding after work. If you ever come here just make sure Alex is working. Great drinks and good prices but shitty service otherwise, to summarize this review. Just go to another bar if you are female and want to have a nice time. I dined with my wife to watch an MLB Playoff Game on a Monday evening. Food was good and atmosphere was great. The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars is that there is a charge for EVERYTHING. If you order a sandwich, the fries, chips or any other side item is a separate charge of $3.50. If you have a salad and order and extra cup of salad dressing, there is a charge on that too. Later on, when I had my check presented to me, and it was around $68 total. I handed my Credit card to the server and she came back with a receipt charge of around $72. I asked why I was charged something higher than what was presented and the server explained that there is an additional charge to use a credit card that the establishment has to give the surcharge to the customer for use of Card. Well Hello there, clean, smoke-free, sports bar! Looking for a place to watch the Sunday game and stumbled upon this place - thank you, Google! I had a long airport layover and did not want to stay inside the airport, so I was thrilled when a colleague suggested Big Shots. With ample seating, a big-enough bar, and tv's along every wall, Big Shots proved to be an excellent choice. Even though they were extremely short-staffed, service was very good. With a full bar and groups scattered amidst the tables, our server was running around back-and-forth making sure she'd taken care of everyone. I never saw her stop moving. We ordered a few drinks and some bar food. Everything was edible. Smaller portions than I'd say we're used to....
