My son was wanting a Bleach Buzz for the summer and I was super scared to let him do it! After speaking with Liz on the phone first, she encouraged us to stop by so we could speak and she could see what he had to work with. She let us come in after the person she was working on since we were headed out of town and this was so last minute. She went way above what anyone would do to help a first time customer. What she will get in return is a repeat customer with a loud mouth that will tell any and everyone what an amazing job she did on my son's hair! Fantastic is an understatement. I had nothing to worry about with her talents. I sat and spoke with her too. Her story is wonderful. She is putting everything into this salon to bring the people back and feel special while there, shoot you can get a massage while waiting in her massage chair or enjoy a beverage to wet your whistle! She is thinking about the customer. Thats rare anymore. Shes looking for more stylist as I write this (so check the date)if you know anyone looking. She sends her people to continued learning classes she pays for she said …. She wants them on their A game. She continues her learning as well. I’m telling you I found Liz to be amazing! I am not a paid person or a bot or a long time friend. I’m genuinely a person who hit up google looking for a salon that would get us in last moment for a kid who wanted what he wanted and he wanted it right now! I’m just the mom that loves him enough to do it! Go and check out this Northland hidden in plain sight GEM! I know I’m gonna send as many people that will put up with me going on and on about it! Loved that it’s Oliver spelled backwards after her son… who we got to meet too! If you go.. tell them my obnoxiously long review sent you in because I’m hoping she gets hundreds of new clients! Go Liz! You rocked ! Thanks for putting the biggest smile on my kiddos face tonight! Nothing can mean more.

I went to Liz from recommendations after a previous stylist messed up my original vision (greys and blues so my sparkles will blend). Luckily, I'm a little familiar with hair as I'm curious when I get it done, so the last 20 years I've always asked questions about the process. With this knowledge, I knew that it would take at the very least 2, maybe even 3 visits to get my hair to the greys and blues I wanted. My previous stylist just did a super dark brown shadow root and threw some blue on the ends (eek). When I sat in Liz's chair she went over what she was going to do, and we talked about how everything won't be done on visit 1. She discussed an extra treatment she was going to do to help with my hair health (which I need desperately) and the pricing. She made sure the integrity of my hair stayed in tact, and I walked out of that salon not even realizing my hair had been bleached. It's so dang soft. Oh, and did I mention I got a hot towel on my head as part of the process?! Ermagerd, that was fantastic. After the services, we talked about when to come in next, she stated no less than 2 weeks...to me that just shows she is way more interested in the health of my hair, than getting rears in her chair to make money. She truly cares about her craft. I can't be more thankful I was recommended to her. I'm pretty sure I just found my new stylist (finally!)

I loved every minute of my visit from the consultation, conversation, cut, color, head massage, soothing hot towel, relaxing oils, and amazing style! She was actually able to give my stick straight hair some curl and get this, 11 hours later and they’re still going strong! Magic! Thank you Liz for a wonderful morning and absolutely gorgeous cut, color, and style! I can’t quit smiling! I can’t wait to come in again in a few weeks to catch up and enjoy your amazing head massage, hot towel and essential oils! Not to mention all of the wonderful product and style ideas you gave me and of course your amazing self! Until next time!

Working for myself as a full time childcare provider (and a mom), it's difficult to find time for self care. I was so excited when I found Revilo and discovered they had appts after 6pm. I booked my first appt with Liz online in November 2023. I made all the childcare arrangements and as I parked my car in the parking 10min before the appt, Liz text me to cancel the appt. 😑 Confused I walked inside and she explained that her scheduling app automatically accepts all the appts and she had already accepted another appt we with a returning customer off the app. We waited for the customer.to arrive, a few min late even, before she promised me she would get with me the next day to schedule a new appt and that she could make it up to me. I was disappointed but I'm an understanding person. These things happen. A week later I realized she wasn't contacting me. But I was a new customer and I know how busy things can get, so I went ahead and made another appt, texting her as well this time to make sure she would be able to complete the appt. She apologized for not contacting me back and I was able to finally get the much needed glow up I needed for my hair. She gave me a free conditioning treatment to make up for the error. I was very happy with my hair and felt like I had found my new stylist! I bought products from her and took a few of her business cards to pass out to my friends and sisters in the area. I admired her story, goals, and ambition. I reached back out in December, a few weeks after my initial appt to go a little shorter on my bangs/get a bang trim. Something we had discussed at my first appt. I had to reschedule because I had unexpectedly lost a family member and had to attend funeral services out of town. Liz was in the middle of a difficult day with her bus project. She was short with me and obviously frustrated. I was annoyed but didn't take it personally. I found a time available, on her calendar and made a new appt. Liz text me shortly after, to cancel yet again. "I'm not trimming bangs at 9pm. I'll get with you tomorrow to reschedule." That was over a month ago.... She has never reached back out to reschedule or apologize for being rude or cancelling another appointment legitimately made on her app. I totally understand not wanting to work late, but why make those appts available on your calendar if you are not? As a business owner, you'd think you'd want to retain new clients. But she seems more focused on other projects right now. I'm so disappointed. I really enjoyed Liz and I was very happy with the services she provided, but after not one but two nearly back to back scheduling errors and cancellations, I won't...

Liz is probably the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I came to her hoping to get a color correction from a previous stylist who had traumatized me and not given the results I had asked for. Liz initially made me feel very comfortable in her abilities. She ensured her salon was a "safe space" and she understood the sadness and anxiety I had about coming to another stylist. She even explained the self-created concept of "hair trauma" to me, which aligned perfectly with the sign on her desk that reads "I'm a Hair-apist". However, as soon as I asked the simple question of what she was planning to do to give me the color I wanted, she started lashing out at me and saying obscured things. "I'm a professional and you wouldn't understand my process even if I tried explaining it to you", "You don't ask a doctor to explain a medication or procedure before they do it!" "You know nothing about this so don't ask!". This made me so uncomfortable to the point of tears. The entire appointment I was having an uncontrollable anxiety attack from the way she was treating me. Keep in mind, I am a teenager and have never had any emotional distraught like that before. It is ridiculous how she made me feel and even more ridiculous how she did my hair. I asked for highlights and a money piece. I wanted a light brown color, something natural. When she dried my hair I had bright yellow highlights all over the top of my head (picture the chunky highlights from the 2000s. They were so harsh and untoned it looked like I had done it myself. When I saw this I began crying again because I was in disbelief that she had made my hair WORSE than the previous lady! To wrap it all up, her "$100 color correction" service ended up being $270 dollars (I did not tip). Liz did not offer a discount or to fix my hair even when she saw I was extremely unhappy. Do not go to Liz, unless you want to ruin your hair and experience the most emotional distraught you have ever felt. There are plenty of excellent stylists in the kc area who have worked at Revilo in the past, but left because Liz was insane. I suggest checking them out before you...
