I went to the Dollar general last night up on Chatham avenue. Even though I'm only 45 I've had two strokes and uncontrolled seizures. I had a stroke last October and so I have a Jack Russell who is medically trained to bring awareness if I'm having a seizure in public. She has a vest with a bow on it. I always go into this Dollar general and I always bring my dog she is professionally trained with papers and I always carry those papers however last night I came in ten minutes before they closed and I didn't know what time it was. Immediately the manager who said she didn't work there since November told me I couldn't bring that dog in here and that they were closed I said oh I'm sorry I don't even know what time it is. I said that's fine but I just wanted to let her know that I was going to show her my medical documents stating that she is a service trained professionally dog because of seizures. And I said there's no sign outside that says no service pets. She said well two of our employees are allergic to dogs and you can't come in here. The door was unlocked and had zero problems with leaving it's just that it's illegal for an establishment to refuse professionally trained service animals inside. And again I've taken my jack Russell in there weekly for years and not one person has ever said I couldn't bring her. I will be actually speaking to a legal professional because If a veteran came inside with his service dog and she treated him the way she treated me then that lady needs to get an office job and not work in the in customer service. I was a waitress all my life and 13 years was spent working at the corner cafe in Riverside and in no way at all would I EVER TREAT my...

Sheryl was so mean to a customer all because she was having a bad day. When several other customers in line spoke up about her outrageous behavior, she said we all could leave if we didn't like her attitude.
She also bashed the Dollar General name stating the corporate stores are too lazy to help her on Saturday and that is why she is under stress.
No excuses to EVER SPEAK TO PEOPLE THE WAY SHE DID. SHE BERATED AN OLDER MAN ON A BUDGET WHO WAS CLEARLY IN NEED. We are all human beings and I pray nobody ever talks to her in a time of need the way she did to this man.
SHERYL should be fired and this nasty store...
Read moreI received immediate assistance from a lady working today. She left what she was doing to check the shelf which didn't have the item I requested. So, she asked me to hold on as she went to the back and brought me the item. Very good customer service.
My concern is when I usually go to this location, there's boxes full of items and some flattened which makes it difficult to maneuver around the store. I've seen other stores (not just dollar general) looking the same way...aisles congested and unable to get to items.
I'm unsure if they should hire more staff to uncluttered the store or find a better method, which makes the appearance much...
