Blip Roasters is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the historic West Bottoms of Kansas City. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear that this is more than just a coffee shop — it’s a space built with heart, creativity, and a genuine love for community. The owners have poured their passion into every corner, creating a warm and welcoming environment that feels like home the moment you walk through the door.
The coffee is exceptional — thoughtfully sourced, expertly roasted, and brewed to perfection — but what sets Blip apart is the personal touch behind everything they do. Whether you’re savoring a perfectly crafted espresso, enjoying one of their delicious pastries, or sipping on a soothing tea, you can feel the authenticity and care that goes into each offering.
Blip is a celebration of individuality and expression. It’s a place where everyone — no matter their background or walk of life — can find connection, comfort, and inspiration. The vibrant atmosphere, often buzzing with art, motorcycles, and the energy of passionate people, creates a unique and inclusive vibe that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Blip Roasters isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s a community, a creative space, and a testament to the power of doing things with heart. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one stop you absolutely don’t...
Read moreUpdate: I gotta update this review to let people know how completely awesome my most recent bag of whole bean roast from Blip has been. Picked up on 11/30, was roasted on 11/26, "Organic Mexican Chiapas." Never heard of it. Turned out to be the most wonderfully aromatic, mellow but flavorful, solid caffeine punch coffee we have had from any coffee in a long, long time. Whole bean it is priced at a premium compared to just getting the same volume pre-ground from a big brand, but that's apple to oranges. This is some KC magic through and through, fresh and completely worth every bean. This is also our second time getting fresh roasted whole bean coffee from Blip and man, it's good! Get you some Mexican Chiapas if the last of it isn't already in someone else's saddlebags!
Original: Definitely recommend this place. Come for the coffee, stay for the bikes and the culture! Great coffee, and what this place does for the motorcycling community in KC is great too! From the conversations I've had with cyclists passing through, it's also appreciated by them. I'm looking forward to a healthy end to the restrictions so Blip can get 100% back on its events and charity rides work as often...
Read moreTerrible customer service! I stopped by with my college-age daughter, the place was highly recommended by a lady we did business with in the West Bottoms. We ordered 2 delicious burritos.. I was editing a college essay for her, and had not had but literally a few sips of my tasty ice tea when 3 flies started landing on my burrito, salsa and my ice tea cup rim, gross! We kept swatting at them and they would not stay off our food and drink cup rims! Again they landed on my burrito for a time to much for my comfort and I swatted at thm accidentally knocking my FULL ice tea over!! My daughter and I brought this to the cashier's attention and all she did was say it's summer flippantly, she didn't replace my beverage! Both my daughter and I have worked in food and drink service around town and can tell you fly control isn't rocket science. They say flies poop on your food! Many methods of modern fly control are available. I wasted my money on that ice tea for this warm end of summer day I anticipated. I'm pissed and probably won't be back, I'm sure that girl won't care. Downtown has other cool coffee establishments run...
