My dog and I love this park! It's only a few blocks away from where we live, and we usually go in the mornings and evenings before and after work. As long as you're there before 7:30 in the morning, there are usually a few dogs running around. Same goes for around 5:30ish in the evening. Timing is key to see other dogs. The community is amazing as well, and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Heidi is also great at keeping everyone up to date with what's going on, and she holds such fun social events! Definitely worth the $50/year. My only complaint would be that their annual maintenance locks us out for a whole month... not sure why it takes that long. But for those complaining about the membership fee, it gives me great comfort that all dogs in the park have to be registered and vaccinated. I'd highly recommend joining!!

My fiancée and I just moved downtown, and this dog park is only a few blocks from our apartment. Our dog, Juno, loves it! It has a great location in the quality hill neighborhood overlooking KCK and the river market. The park is well-manicured and maintained, with nice shaded pavilions to sit. There are lots of friendly dogs for Juno to play with. Another benefit is that it is located on a big hill, so Juno expends even more energy running around.

It's no secret, you have to pay $5/year to access this dog park. They request paper work that your dog has been vaccinated and fixed. If you ask me, it is worth the price for extra assurance that their are no irresponsible dog owners present. They do have water fountains and a few gazebos with picnic tables to sit at. 2 entrances with key fob locks. My pup loves it!

Got there hoping to enjoy the view and my dog the grass. Nope, have to be a member. I'm sure it's easy enough, but as a gal from the who grew up in the metroplex on a Sunday drive it was a downer. Please list that at the very start of the sentence on Google. When people ask where I'm from I say Kansas city not the burb I'm currently living in and I've said yes to a few multi county taxes especially if it's with the arts and history (union station and libraries) the Truman sports complex and other sports complexes. Nope. Our buying tickets is THE ticket for non Jax Co folks. Gonna move in a few months to the Northland and can't afford to live in Kcmo areas due the water prices. JoCo get your act together pay yours share of Indian creek...

Great park! We take our dog and he has a great time. The other members I've met are friendly and they are accepting applications right now. It is more than worth the $5/year price to know the other dogs are vaccinated. There are 2 picnic tables and a shade over them, at least 1 water fountain for people and pets, and a port-o-potty right outside the lower gate. Poo bags are located by the upper and lower entrances so make sure to grab a couple when you 1st come in if your dog is anything like mine. 😆 The park is mowed every week and there is a big hill to tire...
